The Author of The Alchemist is Paulo Coelho. He is from Brazil. He is still alive. He is 65 years old and was born last August 24, 1947 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Coelho concluded that a writer "always wears glasses and never combs his hair" . His first book was Hell Archives. A small publishing house in Brazil printed 900 copies and decided not to reprint it for the failure of Coelho's first books. The Alchemist became the best seller and sell almost 65 million copies and has been translated in 71 languages. 2. For the second week of July, start reading the first chapter of the book. Immediately start the discussion .Additional points will be given.
