Judging from the name I must ask - horror?

Gino wrote: "I've just finished writing mine it's called StarStruck looking at publishers"

Romance possibly?

Love the comment "it could happen". Yes it can!

message 9: by Gino (new)

Gino Alfonso | 3 comments Hi Cindy yes romance for gay teens in the tradition of Meg Cabot and David Levithan :)

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Think I'm gonna like this game! It's fun to guess the genre. Thanks Gino!

Gino Alfonso | 3 comments Totally, I have one publisher that might be interested waiting to hear but I've been told to be wary of them...hope they're wrong and it's legit well see :)

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Just remember to get everything in writing and get an attorney to look over it. Shouldn't cost that much just to have them look at it.

message 13: by Sharon (new)

Sharon (shazzacatzz) | 45 comments I don't know what it would be called, but it would be about a female private detective with kids, juggling childcare with detection...stakeouts with a baby in the backseat of the car... the blocker for her wouldn't be a crusty police detective, but Department of Children's Services ...lol!

message 14: by GeneralTHC (new)

GeneralTHC Heck, I don't know:

IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED

THE BEST TIMES OF MY LIFE: I WISH I'D KNOWN IT

Sam Arnold (samharnold) Cindy more science fiction / horror if that makes sense

message 19: by Evans (new)

Evans Light (evanslight) I love brainstorming titles. I have lists of literally hundreds of possible titles squirreled away now, most without any stories attached to them. Of course, it's always good to make sure they're not already used a hundred times before you go with them.

My first novel is tentatively titled TRANQUILITY'S END.

Came up with a new random title for a story last night that I added to the list for future use: LOWEST COMMON DOMINATOR. Maybe good for a thriller or violent tale.

message 20: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments I've got some cool titles for my first novel jotted down, but the novella I am working on is called HOARDING HOUSE. I fell in love with that when it came to me complete with pretty much the whole storyline attached. Not to mention, I haven't found any other books with the same title.

My first novel, which I haven't worked on in quite some time, was going to be titled SARCOPHAGUS but I think someone beat me to that one.

message 21: by Evans (new)

Evans Light (evanslight) Adam - you tweak that title SARCOPHAGUS if you ever write a story about someone with a compulsive eating disorder.
Call it ESOPHAGUS! ; )

It could work.

Hi everyone,

The title of my mystery novel is Killer Rumors Killer Rumors (Frank Rinelli, #1) by Antonello Fiore

My next book, which will be an inspirational story, will be called The Right Reason.

Wishing you all the best! :)

Hi Patrick,
I love the idea- it's my type of story to read. Another suggestion for a title could be, Destiny Awaits.
Looking forward checking out this story. Wishing you all the best! :)

Well, it's my dream to write a book, but I have a lot of ideas that come and go. This idea is rooted in my life so it's more likely to stick with me. Not a cold-hearted killer of any sort but it would make for some interesting research. Of course, that phrase is an oversimplification of the character's development. But it is about destiny. No matter how certain you are of the future, you're never quite sure where life's really going to take you. Which can be a scary thought. But anyway, thanks for the feedback. It's very encouraging.

Hi Patrick,
The idea/story line sounds terrific. I would recommend jot down major plots that would occur in your story on small pieces of paper. The try to place the events in order. You'll be amazed how simple and flowing your story will turn out.

Wishing you all the best, Patrick! :)

Dustin Thank you, guys. That's an actual work, though vastly unfinished.

Aw, thank you very, very much, guys! And Adam- your encouraging words truly mean the world to me!! Sadly, I haven't worked on Netherworld in about 2 1/2 years (still in the rough draft stage,) and I haven't done a whole lot of additional writing, either... I had no idea that you feel so strongly about my writing, Adam... Thank you again, bro!!

Do you enjoy writing, as well, James?

James wrote: "Near Dark, the premise would be about vampires. Either that, or Coffin Dancers"

REALLY like "Coffin Dancers". Very creative and unique. Just my opinion and you know what they say about that.

message 38: by Lina (last edited Jul 18, 2013 04:07AM) (new)

Lina (booksnotlovers) I would write a norwegian book, so the title would be in norwegian. But translated it would be something like "Life as Young" (and norwegian only sounds good in norwegian, so it does sound better in norwegian)

message 39: by Tim (new)

Tim Harlan The title would be called Pizza Team. That is if I ever get started writing the thing.

message 40: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) My first book I'm trying to finish is called Rachel's Challenge and I'm doing it as a series. This is going to be Amish fiction set in Pennsylvania like most of my unfin9ished stories. It already has over 100 pages, but I should start editing it at some point. I'm doing several others in this area.

message 41: by Natalie (new)

Natalie (creativecountry0407gmailcom) Basically, Rachel's Challenge, which you can find a draft of posted in my writings on the site, is the story of a middle-aged, married Amish woman's struggle to balance her the demands of raising her family helping raise her younger siblings when a tragedy strikes.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

That is so cool Natalie! Good luck and happy editing.

message 46: by Jason (new)

Jason Parent | 69 comments The title to the first full book I wrote but haven't published was In a World without Heroes. I think I may call it something different now, if I ever publish it. My first published novel is What Hides Within.

Gregor - looking forward to the novella! congrats!

message 47: by Gregor (new)

Gregor Xane (gregorxane) | 106 comments Thanks, Jason. "In a World without Heroes" is a good title, but it looks like there are already at least three out there with that title already (or with some slight variation). "What Hides Within" is a good title , too. Especially coupled with the cover image.

message 48: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments It's a great read, as well, Gregor.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

I think the name of my first book would be "What the hell happened to the 30 hour day?"

message 50: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Nice one, Cindy.
