So, I read the first book in this serise. Vampier Academy, a few years ago now. And didn't really care for it that much. But disided to go get the 2ed one Frostbite. But I started it and never got around to finsheing it. So do you think I should keep going and try to read it again or not?

I really enjoyed the series, however, if you did not really enjoy the first one and are having difficulties with this one, I would say maybe this is not the series for you. Try her Georginia Kincaid series.
Definitely finish it!!! I know that the first and second book were not amazing for me, but after the end in the third book I fell in love! It only got better after that, so keep going!
I don't really know what to tell you. I was hooked on this series after reading the first book, but I know for other fans it wasn't until the second or third books that they started to enjoy Vampire Academy. I'd suggest you at least try to finish Frostbite. I know from experience that sometimes the first book in a series is not the best. In Vampire Academy's case, I think the series hits its highest points in books 3-5.
The first and second aren't the the greatest of the six, but after the three you will never stop. KEEP GOING!
keep going. I was not amazed by book 1 but somehow i wanted to complete the series. Today VA is my most favorite series ever.
Yes. This is a great series gets very interesting in every book. Plus theres a movie coming out. I like to read the book before the movies, to get a feel for it. Go for it.

Dimirti was not a very liked charater for me ( maybe because of his age i dont know)
I asked this same question to myself and since so many people told to keep going I did and I like it a lot! I'm on book 4 and let me just say that Richelle Mead is genius. Book 3 will be the book that will get you hooked(I was at least).
If you didn't really like or understand the first book,I think you should give it one more chance and reread it, because this series is EPIC and almost everyone I know that has read this series absolutely loved it!!

Hey Cassie, I'm Shane. Nice 2meet u. You know when I read your comment I was ready 2tell u 2not waste your time because I felt the same except I was about 2start the 4th book & to be Honest I had 2make myself get through the 1st three. I mean there were good parts and then it just seemed 2drag forever so I lost interest but you know everyone is different so I guess trust your instincts. Actually I think after reading sum of the other responses maybe after I've ran out of things to read I mite pick them back up? Have you read the "House of Night" Series by P.C. Cast or "Morganville Vampires" by Rachel Caine? There both really good or @least in my opinion. Let me know what u think? Take Care

It really is just a matter of opinion because I couldn't stop reading them. One of the things I loved about is that the protagonist is a strong woman whose life doesn't revolve around which guy she's going to be with, which is becoming way too common in YA books these days. I mean, I love the friendship between Rose and Lissa and there's the whole world is very intricite and specific, which made it more realistic to me. I don't know. You really can't get me started on these books, because I could gab forever about why I loved them.
I've read the first House of Night series, but sadly, I couldn't get past the first five chapters before I gave up. I still have the book, but I don't know if I'll pick it up again. The Morganville vampires is a book I've had for awhile and I'm dying to read, it's just been hard finding the time. I do plan on reading it soon, though.
Well I think you've convinced me to try them again or pick up were I left off and yes definitely try the Morganville Vampires when u get sometime & let me know what u thot? House of Night gets better or well that's @least my opinion. you know what they say 2each his/her own, lol Hope 2talk again Soon! Take Care & Happy Holidays
Never leave a story unfinished. Yes it does drag a bit but then it is to be expected on a multibook series. In my opinion , you should continue.

A lot of people have said it was good. :) I hope to talk to you again too. Happy holidays.
