The government here is not as absurd as the other dystopians [e.g. Shatter Me, Hunger Games]. Everything is controlled by the Society but they are quite peaceful with it. Let's see if this will change in the next pages of the book.

Chapter 5: I kinda get confused on the pool scene

I'm starting to hate Cassia, It's obvious that Xander really care for her and she's taking his feelings for granted.

(view spoiler)[ I think she wanted Ky because she didn't know him. I think he was a real unknown to her, whilst she already knew everything about Xander.
I think half of it was her wanting to discover someone new, the way the other candidates were only just meeting their match. I think Ky was new, and exciting to her.
You wouldn't expect her to be like that, because she's such a stickler for the rules, but maybe she liked the danger as well. (hide spoiler)]

She could have so easily dismissed Ky as a mistake the way the government wanted her too, but instead she chose to dismiss Xander instead. (hide spoiler)]

So I finish the book and I can say that Cassia is on my 'Fictional' Hated Characters'

(view spoiler)[ The society is doing everything they can to maintain peace in their place but because of Cassia's feeling. She is putting everyone in danger. I just think that maybe she's just thinking that she love Ky because according to the probability, there's a high chance that you will love the person that you have been Matched. For me, they're just thinking it, not really feeling it (hide spoiler)]

Up to chap 21 (view spoiler)[ I like the fact that Xander is a great guy too,cause in most of these books he would probably be presented as a strict rule follower so that it would be easier for Cassia,but now her choice is actually difficult..The Society is brilliantly structured everyone is happy and no one wants to rebel,cause no one thinks he needs to..The even managed to convince people to die at 80 .Willingly! It reminds me a lot of Divergent though..Ky teaching her stuff,rebel-parents,a good girl who decides to become a rebel-belle ..But I really love it so far (hide spoiler)]

I haven't got too far with this, but so far the world seems really interesting. I can't wait to see what is going to happen to Cassia.

I've read 54% so far and I can't decide whether I like it or not. I really like the world that Condie has created as I think that it is really interesting. I'm not such a huge fan of the characters, though. Cassia is a bit annoying with her constant thinking about Ky but then realises that she should be thinking about Xander.

I can't decide whether I like Cassia with Xander or Ky. They are very different and I like them for different reasons. I like Ky as he is different and he is teaching her to write but her friendship with Xander is great.

(view spoiler)[ I suspected that they were going to take Ky away to work somewhere else but I didn't think that it would be to fight in a war. The fact that the Officials set him and Cassia is strange but not completely unexpected as they like to control everything. (hide spoiler)]

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the world was so interesting and I would love to learn more about it which I am hoping we do in the next book. Although parts of it were predictable I still found it really enjoyable. I felt bad for Xander at the end as he loved Cassia so much.

I have been so busy these last few days that I have not gotten to start until today.I am enjoying this book so far.

Chapter 1-4:
(view spoiler)[ Cassia has her matching ceremony and the screen goes dark for her match. That meant that her match was within the same city as her. She finds out her match is her best friend, Xander. Cassia looks at her microcard to see more information about Xander. The microcard presents Xander as her match, but then the screen darkens and another person appears. Xander comes to talk to Cassia about the courtship guidelines and they walk to the game center. (hide spoiler)]

At the end of chapter four we find out (view spoiler)[ Cassia already knows the other person. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5-8:
(view spoiler)[ Cassia is visited by an official about her card. The official told her about Ky. We find out how Xander and Cassia met Ky. Cassia told her grandpa about having two matches. Her grandpa told her to not be afraid to wonder. Cassia's grandpa has his final banquet. He opens the compact and a piece of paper comes out. He tells Cassia that the paper is important. Cassia begins to wonder about Ky. (hide spoiler)]

This world is very interesting. The concept of a Final Banquet and everyone dying at the same age.. Having a match and a job.. Choosing if you are going to marry your match..

Chap 9-14:
(view spoiler)[Cassia started hiking as a leisure activity. Cassia looks at the paper her grandpa gave her. They were poems. She reaches the top of the hill and finds Ky. Cassia's father lost her grandpa's sample. Cassia ends up visiting her dad and while doing so burns the poems. Cassia's best friend has her matched ceremony and the officials came to give Cassia her test. (hide spoiler)]

It is interesting to me how certain poems are not allowed in their world. It is also interesting to me how set each person's schedule is.
