I see no evidence the Venice books are by the middle-initial-M author.

I'm sorry, it was my mistake. In my edition of "Intro to Data Science," it lists Jeffrey Stanton as the author but on further research this is Jeffrey M. Stanton. The Jeffrey Stanton on Goodreads refers to the Venice author who also wrote computer science books in the 1980s. Can you remove my listing for "Intro to Data Science" under the Jeffrey Stanton listing? (no ISBN since it is an ebook)
