Jane Jago Maybe text speak will be like Esperanto....

message 1306: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Esperanto is an odd sounding word, a weird cross between hope and despair. No wonder it went nowhere.

message 1307: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I guess my story for this week isn’t going to write itself.

message 1308: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments (I just barely got this under twenty words.)

Patients almost forgot their problems when Lyle’s self-folding pants and shirt malfunctioned in the clinic’s waiting room.

message 1309: by Anne (new)

Anne (annefrn) | 916 comments I'd love to be a fly on the wall at Lyle's clinic's waiting room. :)

message 1310: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I had forgotten about Lyle’s self-folding clothes, or that the reply has to be twenty words or less.

message 1311: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4484 comments Two terrifying words:

The Mangler

(the short-story/movie!)

Sushie || "In writing, you must kill all your darlings." -William Faulkner Wouldn't want to be caught with that guy.
At least I don't think so...

(I've never seen the movie)

message 1313: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4484 comments A movie I have never seen

The Conjuring.

I have had enough creepy crap happen in my life not that different from that stuff in a way, thank you!

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4484 comments Rules: The person who responds should state, in twenty words or less, the first thing that comes to mind.

The person who responds to that will do the same thing, and so on.

I guess I will try to restart this. It's a great game!

Important Mod Note:

4/11/24

I feel that both this and Word Association are must-play games because they get the mind flowing. I think they make the brain work at things, encouraging creativity.

What do you think when you see the topic? Hopefully some kind of writing out of the blue just like when you try these games!

message 1317: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4484 comments To sit in a comfy chair and read a book during a nighttime rain would be the best place to be for me!

message 1318: by Latte (new)

Latte (lattereadsipit) | 267 comments Reminds me of Night Sky where every night the couple sits in their underground bunker watching an alien planet.

message 1319: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Night sounds in the deserted Transylvania destination on the Second Life site.

message 1320: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4484 comments A quiet and creepy abandoned server in a game reminiscent of Half-Life.
