C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4484 comments Flushing a stink bomb down a school toilet isn't as fun as you'd think it'd be. Especially when it ends in suspension.

message 1064: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Suspension is just a three day vacation from school.

message 1065: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments And to hang in is putting up with being in a state of suspense.

message 1066: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments A state of suspense? There must not be very many kids attending school in that state.

message 1067: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Perhaps not, but their animation will be suspended by suspending their disbeliefs.

message 1068: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Suspend their beliefs? How? Did they string them up and hang them from the ceiling?

message 1069: by M (last edited Apr 26, 2014 06:32PM) (new)

M | 11617 comments (I think it was Coleridge who came up with the phrase willing suspension of disbelief.)

message 1074: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments A true certainty? Or only what you believe is certain?

message 1075: by [deleted user] (last edited Apr 27, 2014 07:46AM) (new)

message 1076: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I couldn’t decide whether to paddle or row. It was an either/oar situation.

message 1077: by [deleted user] (new)

situate yourself in a row and decide if you should paddle your body's arms & legs, or torso.

message 1078: by [deleted user] (new)

Iambic paddles now. Game unknown. ~ :)

message 1079: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments To oar or not to oar, is that the question? Whether tis nobler to row the boat in the face of roaring crowds, or hoe the row of Elysian fields. To row? To hoe? Aye. There's the stock, for who can know what oars may come after the boat is docked.
