Abby sat at her desk, her hands folded neatly infront of her. On her pale skin were many bruises and cuts from the beating she had gotten that morning for spilling her glass of water. She didn't make any noise as people came in to the room and left again.

[Lollipop]

Maria sat next to Abby and gave her a cheerful smile. "Hey there's Abby!" She said singsongy. She took out a candy from her pocket and handed to her."for your troubles"

[Anastacia]

Abby shrank back slightly when Maria sat next to her. She looked at the candy "I-I ca-can't they'll hu-hurt me ag-again" She stammered out, her voice shaky as she was still shaken up from her beating.

[Lollipop]

Maria patted her. "I'll protect you sweeties. Who hurt you?" She asked worriedly. She fixed her hair out of habit.

[Anastacia]

Abby winced a little bit when Maira touched her, but hid it rather well. "The dis-disipliners" She stuttered, thinking that because she metioned their names one of them would come and hurt her.

((At the school many young children are abused))

[Lollipop]

Maria frowned. "Those jerks.. don't worry I'll take your beatings next time. I'm a tough girl" she said smiling . (Aww :c)

[Anastacia]

Abby looked up "I-I can handle it my-myself" She said, before looking down at her hands.

[Lollipop]

Maria sighed. "Oh okay.. but how about we go eat somewhere pretty ? Like where we can see the view inside?" She asked happily. She was soon smacked in the back of the head. "Mrs. Greene's are you planning something ?" The disciplinary replied. Maria looked at her calmy. " yesm" she said. No soon was she slapped across the face and her mouth bleeding."don't get smart with me" the woman said leaving. Maria merely smiled." What can I say Abby.. someone's gotta fight them!"She said wearily.

[Anastacia]

Abby stayed silent when the disipliner came over, she was extremely scared of them. "I-I can't" She told Maria quietly, not wanting to get into trouble herself.

[Lollipop]

Maria nodded in understatement. "It's okay Abby." She smiled and began to doodle . "Hey Abby. Look isn't this a cute dog I drew?" She shows her.

[Anastacia]

Abby looked at the drawing and nodded mutely.

[Lollipop]

Maria smiled happily and wiped the blood off her mouth. "Abby. Wanna eat lunch together in front of the big view?"

[Anastacia]

Abby nodded again "Okay" She whispered.

[Lollipop]

Maria smiled widely. "I'm sure the view will be just wonderful!!!we might even be able to see the canary from last week." She whispered happily.

[Anastacia]

Abby smiled a little at Maria's energy.

Maria smiled and couldn't wait til lunch. (Night!!! :) )

Abby pulled out her school book and began to draw. Drawing was something that calmed her nerves. She began to smile slightly while drawing, which caused a disipliner to walk over.

"What are you smiling about" He snapped at her, as he hated seeing any of the kids or teens happy.

"No-Nothing" Abby stuttered, she quickly closed her schoolbook. The disipliner slapped Abby acrossed the face.

"Don't you lie to me, insolent little brat" He hit Abby again, harder. "Now tell me the truth" He continued.

Abby opened her notebook and showed him the drawing. It was a simple flower. The male disipliner began to walk away, and as he walked his hand came back to hit her in the back of the head, causing her to hit the desk.

[Lollipop]

Maria growled angrily and turned around to the disciplinary and pushed him. "Pick on someone.else ."'she spat out. She was then hit with a punch and her mouth bleed even more. Then with a pull on the hair she was slammed into the desk also.

"Keep your mouth shut."he relied.Maria smirked but said nothing. He left to check on the others and she stared at Abby." I'm going to.protect you okay?"She said wiping the blood. Truth was she saw Abby as a little sister . The one she never had.

Abby wiped the bit of blood that started to flow down her face. "I'm used to it" She murmered, Abby had never mentioned to anyone about the abuse she had suffered even before coming to the school. Due to what had happened at her home, Abby was good at hiding from and avoiding adults.

[Lollipop]

Maria patted her arm softly. " as I am also. But I decided to stop taking hits from when I was your age." She said bravely. Her eyes wandered and she saw the clock. It was almost time to eat and truth be told she was starving she had given her food to another classmate.

[Anastacia]

Abby looked away "If I do bad things mommy and daddy will hurt me more" Abby sighed, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. Abby felt her stomach growl quietly, as she hadn't been allowed to finish her breakfast that morning because she spilled her water.

[Lollipop]

The class was then dismissed and Maria offered her hand to Abby. "Come on let's eat and be sane for a while." She said smiling softly.

Abby took Maria's hand and walked with her to the dining hall.
