Funny enough, I was able to stop myself from reading bits and pieces from the last chapter!!

No. I dare not even peek at the end of a book beforehand.
No, I don't do that unless it's a very bad book and I'm dying while reading it and am very close to quitting, only then I would flip the book and read the last chapter to see if it intrigues me to change my mind.
