Hello everyone! I am new to your group. I love mystery/thrillers and have just posted my new book on Goodreads. I met one of your author/members, Christine Carbo, at a book club in Tampa, FL. Welcome Ofra! I too am a big fan of Susan Hill and her hero Simon Serrailler, although I am not yet caught up.
Hey!I'm looking for an active group to expose me to new authors. I'm a fan of mystery/thrillers and particularly gravitate towards those by Southern authors. I have a spectrum of favorites, including William Gay, Dennis Lehane, Cormac McCarthy, Daniel Woodrell, and recently Karin Slaughter.
Frankly, I find the crime and mystery aspect of a good novel as the spine and the meat and bones are the characters and their relationships--done in a fresh way.

If you like mysteries you’re sure to hear about a lot of books from our members here. Several of us also read other genres and we sometimes talk about those books as well. We’re just readers and open to all types of books.
I looked at your profile and see that you’ve read The Hiding Place. If you scroll through our discussions you’ll find one with discussion of that book which was a recent group read. Another good place to dive in is with our JF/NR (Just Finished/Now Reading) topic.
