I personally liked the sequel quite a bit. In my opinion, as long as you go into it knowing that
A) they're in a completely different scenario now - they're out of the maze and in the real world, and
B) Teresa's character is going to drive you nuts
then it's still a highly enjoyable read.

Lovely series. I love all kinds of YA books, and this is one of them. For the teacher, I would say yes.

I loved the ending and I believe that the next books will be better. I think that the mystery will be somewhat less prevalent and therefore I believe that I will enjoy the next book more. The last 60 pages of this book were my favorite.

Definitely start with Maze Runner. The prequel really has little to do with the other three books, and it will spoil the suspense of the trilogy if you start with it.

The idea is brilliant and incredibly intriguing, but I think what made it great was the mystery. In the second and third books, it loses that element, so I didn't like them as much.
And the prequel was just... no.
I can't wait for the movie, though; the cast is amazing!

Don't bother with the prequel. It doesn't even involve the same characters and it's frustratingly boring.

However, starting to not like Teresa...??? Does she get better in the thi..."
I agree! When you read the third book, everyone's roles within Wicked become clear
