And one I want to buy is The Dancing Master by Julie Klassen

I saw that on Amazon! I totally wanted to get it but I held off since I still have so many other books to read.

I have taken many of her Bible studies through my church, and they are excellent.

My friend Dineen Miller loves her Bible studies through her church, but I've never read any of her books yet. Now that I have several of them I'll give them a try!

message 363: by Heather (new)

Heather (readingrainbowbrite) | 103 comments I got 9 free Beth Moore books for free on Nook. I think Amazon has 14 free. I've done studies at church. She puts a lot of time into research. They're worth a read.

Beth (bbulow) | 88 comments I've not read anything by her or done any Bible studies. Now I have so many I don't know where to start. Any suggestions of which I should start with??

Yay! I'm glad it's up! But the blurb is wrong. I asked them to change it but I don't know when they'll do that.

message 372: by Kim (new)

Kim | 33 comments I have gotten a really good start on my CFD group non-fiction reading challenge for this year and starting reading a secular clean romance fiction today from my TBR list:

I finished:

They Fought Like Demons Women Soldiers in the Civil War by DeAnne Blanton They Fought Like Demons: Women Soldiers in the Civil War

Basic Crocheting All the Skills and Tools You Need to Get Started by Sharon Hernes Silverman Basic Crocheting: All the Skills and Tools You Need to Get Started

I am working on:

American Grace How Religion Divides and Unites Us by Robert D. Putnam American Grace: How Religion Divides and Unites Us

The Anne Boleyn Collection The Real Truth about the Tudors by Claire Ridgway The Anne Boleyn Collection: The Real Truth about the Tudors

The Four Doors by Richard Paul Evans The Four Doors

Her Best Match (Best Girls, #1) by Tamie Dearen Her Best Match

Good for you! I don't read that many non-fiction books although I do enjoy them, especially history.

Kim | 33 comments Camy wrote: "Good for you! I don't read that many non-fiction books although I do enjoy them, especially history."

I don't either, but since I haven't been in college since literally the 20th century and told what non-fiction to read anymore, it is a lot more enjoyable. I enjoy reading history as well like you, because some of the true stuff that has happened in real life in our past is more incredulous and unbelievable than a fiction novel. I enjoy psychology and sociology non-fiction topic books made for a general audience, cause it is reading about ourselves. Some biological science books too. Religious nonfiction as well. Wow! Now that I type this out I realize what a total nerd I secretly am and just haven't admitted it to myself *LOL*! Need to now scrub my overworked brain with the clean secular romance novel I am currently reading Her Best Match. Then I am doing some Regency era romance.

LOL I just picked up some nonfiction books today, Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time and Lord, Teach Me to Pray in 28 Days. I'm hoping to improve my prayer life this year!

Ausjenny | 225 comments Thanks I can deal with the head pain mostly the gall bladder is frustrating. it aches like you have the stitch and tells me when its unhappy like now.

I am hoping i see the specialist Friday week but am thinking it will be Feb. but I am eating better although something I ate today is not good and I think its the chicken. Its chicken breast but packaged. its not a bad reaction but enough to let me know be careful.

Camy (camytang) | 1315 comments Mod
Be careful what you eat! My friend had gall bladder problems and really had to watch her diet.

message 380: by Ausjenny (new)

Ausjenny | 225 comments Oh I am, I am going to try tuna as they say its ok. but only a tiny bit to test. I have a few foods I know are safe and now I can eat a little salad which is ok.

message 381: by Kim (new)

Kim | 33 comments Camy I am trying to improve my prayer life too. "Did you think to pray?" is my resolution to improve my life and others in 2014.

Ausjenny I feel bad for you too. The "Antiflammation Diet" is great for people who suffer from pain or even people who have autoimmune diseases. Tuna is one of the foods in that health plan. You can do a search on the diet on the internet and their are a ton of books out on it.

message 382: by Camy (new)

Camy (camytang) | 1315 comments Mod
That's a good idea, Kim! I heard that type of diet really makes a huge difference.

Right now I'm reading Lord, Teach Me to Pray in 28 Days and it's wonderful. I read it years ago but forgot a lot of what she teaches, and this time around, God has really been speaking to me through the scriptures the author gives me to look up.

Yes, I always cry! But it's usually a good cry, because the romances always have a happy ending. The Historical Fiction novels, not so much, so I sometimes avoid them.
