I love that time period. I really will check that out. Thanks!

Hmmm now you make me want to read both to see which I'll like!

Beth wrote: "Heather, I want to do library science too! I still need to work though, so I've been looking at an online program from a university accredited by the American Library Association (my undergrad. was in English). I got worried though when I saw some of the computer savvy that is needed. I'm decent with the computer, but not an IT person for sure. I think I can learn, but it seems a little daunting. I just want to be a librarian ;D "
I always thought that if I didn't write, I'd be a librarian. I not only love to read but I like the organization and computer stuff that goes along with it.

Yes, that's what I love about them! I love the ones where the heroine is a nurse in a hospital.

As I said, I'm getting ready to start Beth White's new release, The Creole Princess. I loved her first book, The Pelican Bride. Strange that I like all these books. The 1700s have never really been (and still aren't) my favorite time period. "
That sounds neat to me--I've alway loved the 1700s and early 1800s. And I know Beth White is a good author, too!

Vicki Hinze is a new author to me, although I see some books by her on the list of LIS books on my e-reader. Just have to got to them yet. :)I thoroughly enjoyed the ones I just read and am looking forward to the continuation of the characters in them.

I binge watched all 3 seasons of Longmire over spring break and now we're watching Justified. Both are based on books (of course) so I'm making my way through both book series.

I first read Vicki when she was writing for the secular market, so when she crossed over to LIS I was doubly thrilled about that!

I don't really remember. I connected with the author somehow on goodreads. I don't know if she found me or if I found her or if someone recommended her book.

My small group studied this book a while back and I've started rereading it. For someone who love's to talk as much as I do, it's essential reading. War of Words: Getting to the Heart of Your Communication Struggles
I'm reading A Grave Matter right now and so far so good it's been clean language and there has been no indecent scenes except kissing. I've not heard of this author but so far it's really good. Follows along the lines of Sherlock Holmes mystery.

Good morning. I'm reading the new Penderwick book for kids. It's called, The Penderwicks in Spring, by Jeanne Birdsall. I love the Penderwicks. They are a fun family!

I would read the in order.
I'm reading Jesus > Religion: Why He Is So Much Better Than Trying Harder, Doing More, and Being Good Enough
"The Bible isn't a rule book. It's a love letter. I'm not an employee. I'm a child. It's not about my performance. It's about Jesus' performance for me. Grace isn't there for some future me but for the real me. The me who struggled. The me who was messy. ..... He loves me in my mess; he was not waiting until I cleaned myself up.”
Oooh, nice! Thanks Heather! It reminds me that lately I've been really looking in my Bible for the truth of what it says and separating out the things I've always just believed simply because I learned it in church. The belief that I have to be perfect to be acceptable is one of those things, which goes against the entire concept of grace.
I have an injury, so whilst my foot is propped up I've been reading reading reading. Right now, I'm reading Madam Will You Talk, by Mary Stewart.
I've just finished Betting on Hope by Debra Clopton( very good)! Right now I'm starting Targeted by Becky Avella!

I'm in the middle of finals so that's seriously cramping my reading style. But I led myself into temptation (Barnes and Noble) and left with Taken (and a piece of cheesecake). I've hidden it my room so it will stop mocking me.

Katherine wrote: "I'm reading, The Goose Girl, by Shannon Hale."The The Goose Girl is one the many books I have piled up on my Kindle that I haven't read yet. Shannon Hale I heard is a great author. Need to read one of her works soon. Enjoy Katherine!
It's Independent Bookstore Day so I popped into my local used bookstore. I picked up two books by Elisabeth Elliot and one each by RC Sproull and Timothy Keller. I saw lots of fiction that I wanted but I also want to enter a 5K race next week so I'm trying to save money for that.
Just started ‘One Prince Two Kingdoms' by Jana Grissom. This is her debut book and I'm on the tour. Review date: May 12th.
Hey guys! Sorry I've been awol, I've been working on my next book(s) and staying offline, since it was getting to be a distraction. :)
What are you reading? I just started an old out of print Regency romance, The Reckless Gambler.
