Katherine I finished reading, Left-Hand Kelly, by Elisabeth Grace Foley. It's a short story and it was good.

Sorry I've been awol, guys! I was finishing The Spinster's Quest, a Regency novella that'll be in a historical romance anthology published by Redbud Press. Not sure about the release date yet. It was so fun to write Regency again!

Beth (bbulow) | 88 comments I am reading With Every Breath by Elizabeth Camden on Kindle, and my "real" book is From the Start by Melissa Tagg - both are great so far!

message 710: by Julie (new)

Julie Graves (gravesok) | 109 comments I'm reading Where Two Seas Met by Lynn Morris. It is a continuation of the Cheney Duvall series. I'm also reading A Place Called Home by Lori Wick. Dead Wrong by Susan Sleeman and Fifth Avenue Fidos by Holly Schindler. Two books are re-reads and I read those a bit slower than the others.

I think I have that Lori Wick book but I don't think I ever got around to reading it. Is that one of your re-reads?

I never read the Emily books, either! I'm not sure if they're on Gutenberg.org, though. But I would think they would be, since they're so old.

I love this Cheney book because it is Cheney and Shiloh on their honeymoon. Finally they are together! And yes, A Place Called Home is a re-read. I pretty much love anything written by Lori Wick. The Californian series is my favorite though.

I'm pretty sure I've never read her Californian series, isn't that strange considering I'm in California? I've read so many of her other books, though. I'll have to look up the Californian series now.

Ooh I saw that book and fell in love with that cover. Is it really set in the late 1700s? That's so unusual for a Christian historical romance. That sounds intriguing.

Heather, I want to do library science too! I still need to work though, so I've been looking at an online program from a university accredited by the American Library Association (my undergrad. was in English). I got worried though when I saw some of the computer savvy that is needed. I'm decent with the computer, but not an IT person for sure. I think I can learn, but it seems a little daunting. I just want to be a librarian ;D

I go back and forth! Sometimes when I think about it, I like "Tamsen" better because I read it first, but I think I liked the storyline of Burning Sky better. It's hard to pick - safe to say that Lori is a great writer, huh?

Definitely wonderful. If you like Laura Frantz, Lori Benton is very similar.

As I said, I'm getting ready to start Beth White's new release, The Creole Princess. I loved her first book, The Pelican Bride. Strange that I like all these books. The 1700s have never really been (and still aren't) my favorite time period.

I loved The Pelican Bride. It takes place in early 1700s with the founding of Mobile. It reminded me of Last of the Mohicans. The second book in the series, The Creole Princess, is set to release next month. I'm hoping it will be as good.
