Thanks for the recommendation! I should read that one of hers!

That's interesting! I've never heard of that author before.

Sorry I've been awol, guys! I was finishing The Spinster's Quest, a Regency novella that'll be in a historical romance anthology published by Redbud Press. Not sure about the release date yet. It was so fun to write Regency again!

Katherine, have you read it before? I have started Wuthering Heights five times (not exaggerating) and haven't been able to finish..."
I didn't finish reading it.
Katherine wrote: "I'm reading, The Blue Castle, by L.M. Montgomery."
Katherine I loved that one as much as I loved Anne of Green Gables series!

Camy, I love all of your writing, but your Regency is my favorite! :)

I just finished it today. I loved it!

Aw thanks Beth! I'm actually feeling pretty good about this novella, I think it's some of my best writing and I really loved writing these characters. :)

I really enjoyed With Every Breath--it's my first book that I read by Elizabeth Camden and I really enjoyed it.

Cheney! Sigh!
I think I have that Lori Wick book but I don't think I ever got around to reading it. Is that one of your re-reads?

Wasn't it sweet? I found out that you can get some of L. M. Montgomery's short stories on ebook at Gutenberg.org.

Cool. I've never read the Emily books. I'd like to read those also. I love Anne of Green Gables!
I never read the Emily books, either! I'm not sure if they're on Gutenberg.org, though. But I would think they would be, since they're so old.

It's a book for kids about a girl in China. It's this author's first book.

I love this Cheney book because it is Cheney and Shiloh on their honeymoon. Finally they are together! And yes, A Place Called Home is a re-read. I pretty much love anything written by Lori Wick. The Californian series is my favorite though.
Heather wrote: "I haven't been checking in this year because I'm finishing up my bachelors degree. I've missed keeping up with what y'all are reading! I'm mostly reading text books but I have to leave room in my b..."
That's awesome about the degree! How great! What are you majoring in?

I'm pretty sure I've never read her Californian series, isn't that strange considering I'm in California? I've read so many of her other books, though. I'll have to look up the Californian series now.

You're welcome! Looking forward to finding out that release date! :)

It's really good so far - I've read two of her other books. This one has a lot of cool medical details about tuberculosis and the old treatments they used to have. I'm liking it a lot.

Oh definitely look it up Camy! The first one is Whatever Tomorrow Brings. So good! There are 4 books in the series. Yup, my absolute favorites :)

The Pursuit of Tamsen Littlejohn was awesome as well!

Okay, I will! I really love how it's so easy to find the books in a series here on Goodreds.

Ooh I saw that book and fell in love with that cover. Is it really set in the late 1700s? That's so unusual for a Christian historical romance. That sounds intriguing.

I just finished Hannah
by Betty Neels. Not a Christian book, but oh so sweet and romantic! I really loved it. Anyone else like Betty Neels?

Yes, I think it's the 1780's - really well-done.

I'm 32 credit hours away from earning my Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology. Then I plan to go to grad school for my Masters of Library Science.

I've read The Pursuit of Tamsen Littlejohn and Burning Sky. I loved both of them, but I did like Burning Sky a little better, not sure why???

Heather, I want to do library science too! I still need to work though, so I've been looking at an online program from a university accredited by the American Library Association (my undergrad. was in English). I got worried though when I saw some of the computer savvy that is needed. I'm decent with the computer, but not an IT person for sure. I think I can learn, but it seems a little daunting. I just want to be a librarian ;D

I go back and forth! Sometimes when I think about it, I like "Tamsen" better because I read it first, but I think I liked the storyline of Burning Sky better. It's hard to pick - safe to say that Lori is a great writer, huh?

Now I'm reading Would Be Wilderness Wife by Regina Scott andTrails and Targets by Kelly Eileen Hake.

Definitely wonderful. If you like Laura Frantz, Lori Benton is very similar.
As I said, I'm getting ready to start Beth White's new release, The Creole Princess. I loved her first book, The Pelican Bride. Strange that I like all these books. The 1700s have never really been (and still aren't) my favorite time period.

I haven't read anything by Beth White...I'll have to take a look at The Pelican Bride.

I loved The Pelican Bride. It takes place in early 1700s with the founding of Mobile. It reminded me of Last of the Mohicans. The second book in the series, The Creole Princess, is set to release next month. I'm hoping it will be as good.
