WOW that looks intense! Kind of like Corrie Ten Boom's story.

LOL Sorry, it's not a Protection for Hire book, it's the next book in my Sonoma romantic suspense series with Love Inspired Suspense. Liam O'Neill was a minor character in Narrow Escape and I knew I'd write his story as soon as I wrote him in the book! It comes out in December. But I hope to write the third Protection for Hire book later this year and probably self-publish it. I'm thinking of writing it as a serial novel. That way it'll be several self-contained "episodes" with an overarching story plot, and the total book will be a juicy 300,000 words. I know a lot of readers (myself included) like a big book!

Really? That's too bad. Usually if I can't get through a book easily, I'll put it down. It drives my friends crazy because most of them can't NOT finish a book, but for me, because I read so slowly, I just don't have time to read a book I'm not enjoying.

message 460: by Chrissey (new)

Chrissey (chrissey67) | 19 comments There are few books that I don't finish. I really wanted to finish The Wish Maker because I was looking for redemption, I guess! The ending of the story did become more of a "story" and I was able to connect with the characters a little better, so in the end, it did somewhat redeem itself. I just hate to not finish a book! LOL :)

I guess I've gotten used to not finishing books. I used to hate not finishing, but since there are so many books I want to read, I've learned to stop reading books I'm not enjoying at all so I have time to find a book I'll really like!

Chrissey (chrissey67) | 19 comments I'll have to start practicing that Camy!!!! There are too many good books out there waiting to be read!

Just to warn you, it's really hard!!! I don't know why I have such a problem not finishing things.

message 464: by Rose (new)

Rose (harnessrose) I just finished Anna Karenina by Tolstoy. It has taken me awhile since I read several books at a time plus the book is really long. I enjoyed it even though some sections drag a bit.
I'm currently reading Sierra by Taylor Dean; Sophia's War by Avi; Let the Sky Fall and The Master and Margaret.

That is one book I keep telling myself I should read, but the storyline just doesn't really interest me. I am a classics Neanderthal.

I just did it again! I kept going through a book I didn't particularly want to finish but I felt guilty whenever I put it down.

Kim - Inside the Wong Mind (kim94945) | 8 comments Just stayed up all night reading Dear Mr. Knightley!!! Ahh! Loved it as any Austen buff would :) It took me a little bit to get into the style of writing but I couldn't put it down and lost sleep over it. However, I guessed the ending before I'd gotten halfway through but I had to read to the end to make sure I was correct.

I just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and loved it. I am so hooked on Lisbeth and Blomkvist's characters. I became fascinated with Lisbeth and her intelligence, courage and her willingness to not let anyone knock her down. She is a fighter!

I am now currently reading the second book:
www.amazon.com › Books › Mystery, Thriller & Suspense
and am only a third of the way into the book, and waiting to see how Lisbeth and Blomkvist's characters interact in this story.

So that isn't a suspense? That's interesting! I read one of Dee's other romances/non-suspenses a few years ago and it was good!

Yes, a movie :) It was funny. Sean Astin(Goonies and Lord of the Rings) is in it. The pastor of Sherwood Baptist church that did the movies Fireproof, Courageous, etc. is in it as well. Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond is also in it. A fun, clean movie :)
