Thanks, will check out the group!

Right?!!! So good!! I'm almost done with Assassin's Quest. Are you planning to read her other series too??

Yep. Tawny Man series is next on my list. Hoping to know more about the Fool, intriguing fellow that he is.
It was in the Tawny Man series that I started crying and had to put the book down for a considerable time

I had to, too

Yes. Me, too.
I just finished River of Stars and it's the best one since The Lions of al-Rassan. A real 5 star book.

Just ordered River of Stars

Yep . . . sequel

It took me a while to find what to read next (I hate when that happens) and ended up starting Clockwork Angel, so far its fast pace and I'm enjoying it..

Oh no! Guess I'll have to keep the tissues handy :(

Thanks for the link! I just started Tawny Man a few weeks ago (in the middle of #2 now). Really, really thought highly of Ship of Destiny. Tawny Man has been enjoyable as well.

Great to see these books mentioned for a change. The series is altogether overlooked, sad to say.

No kidding! Absolutely cannot imagine why the big publishers haven't snapped the new ones up.

How come you skipped the Ship trilogy? I'm reading the last two Dragon set in August. And I'll add the Kay book too I guess.

Actually, a lot of books of this quality and caliber fall between the cracks. Not enough word of mouth, fast enough, and there's no incentive (profit) for the publisher to continue. To make it harder, when this series was first published, there was no ready market -'interesting magic systems' was not a buzz word in the genre. It wasn't a quest or coming of age, and it had so much stark invention, that sort of originality has to create its own following, and for the pace of today's market expectations, it didn't happen fast enough.
If you ever heard of Rosemary Kirstein's Steerswoman series, it hit a similar wall. That one is slowly being rediscovered from obscurity and one can hope, Jane Fancher's Ring series can do the same thing. It's certainly quality writing and a wonderful story.

I certainly hope so. Love these books; love the characters and love the whole world she's built.

can't see this very well. Could folks please include the titles?"
You can hover your mouse over the book and the title will show up.

Now I'm not sure what to read next. It'll either be Mistborn or The Hobbit, neither of which I've read before, and are the only two series I've got left after recently moving.
