I have had some trouble with interest in my book and I am starting to wonder if it is because I have labeled it a "fairytale". It's basically about two people who have been cursed and true love breaks the curses. There is a witch, a sorcerer, and some magic, but mostly romance and love. To me that was typical fairytale material. It is appropriate for YA, but written for adults. What is the difference between paranormal, fantasy and fairytale? And would it benefit me to change my classification?

I think you could go with any of the three depending on how you phrased it. Your book made me think of Robin McKinley's work as she does fairytale retellings so I checked to see what her work is classified as. She is classified as Science fiction/Fantasy [and then has a further sub classification of 'dark'].Looking at the Amazon category for Fantasy, I think your book would be a good fit there.
Just my opinion!
These lists of Fantasy sub-genres might be usefulhttp://www.cuebon.com/ewriters/Fsubge...
