Yay, I'm so happy this book won :) I'm looking forward to reading it and discussing it with the group :)
Why am I not surprised? Well. At least it is already on my kindle bookshelf waiting. This will be my first Gaiman. I also have Neverwhere on my shelf.
I will read it some day. It is on one of my future A-Z challenges. Of course for now I gotta finish my other challenges for the year. I think I got it for free one day on Amazon. I know nothing about either of these books except maybe they are fantasy? but both come highly recomended, which is just the way I like it. I like to be surprised:) Same with movies.
Sarah - I've never read anything by Gaiman before either. This will be my first. I'm very excited to check it out. I've heard good things. :)
It's a quick read. I got the audiobook version, narrated by himself. The whole audiobook is just under 6 hours.
Wow! That is quick. What did you think of the audio? I have the paper version on hold at the library, but there is a fairly long wait list.
Yay! I'm so happy the book I voted for won :D It's going to be my first Neil Gaiman book too, I've seen rave reviews about him, so I hope I like it :)
Cherene -- I'm listening to the audiobook version too. So far, I'm enjoying it and Gaiman's doing a good job narrating. So nice to be doing a shorter book once again. Lately I keep find myself listening to these l-o-n-g 30-hour epics like Fall of Giants!

I just picked the audio up from library ... will have to begin it after I finish The Lifeboat. I enjoy good narrators, but often find that authors are not good narrators of their own writing. Glad to hear this isn't the case! ;o)

Always good to know! Thanks! I think I may be able to get the audio faster than the paper copy, if I need to.

Hahaha...No worries! I'm just going to take whichever medium becomes available through the library first. There is a waiting list for both.

Thank you to all who nominated and/or voted.
As there are 5 books scheduled to read in August (admittedly one is a picture book), I will be starting the discussion on the 16th to spread out the books during the month.
