I agree, no one would do that now. But then again, when how often is it that someone comes across a situation in which someone can either walk to his daeth or save his loved ones?
Actually I never CRY in books. I just get a little surprised.
I couldn't stop crying when Dobby died! It was just so random it mad me mad! And he had just saved Harry! That knife was ment for him! I always thought he was so cute the way he love to wear, like, seven pairs of socks, five sweaters, and like three hats! :'(

Oh ya. And my friend Liz is in denile because she got SO MAD when Fred died and cried. She keeps telling me that it was George who died because Fred was cuter(and had two ears). Notice they're identical twins...

well it's a lot more relistic then people willing to sacrafice all their friends and family to be with a person they've only know for a few years.

me too. there are good things about her, like how she stands up for the person she loves, but she is pathetic!

Maybe it's meant to be a lesson. How many people in the world would actually do that? We've all turned so selfish. I think it's sad that people wouldn't do that any more. And someone (forget who) made a good point above: how many situations are there like that anyway? It's not exactly common. Harry did that because he's brave enough. I think it's a great thing he did.
And I suppose sparkly vampires that have everything they want & can do anything they want are more realistic?

I didn't cry, but I teared up when Hermione found out about Ron and Lavender in the sixth Harry Potter. I felt so bad for her!

i cried when fred, dobby, sirius, and dumbledore died. especially when sirius and fred died, because they were my favorites!
Oh this is completely random but I heard that J.K. Rowling rreeaalllyyy regretted killing Sirius because like, a week before the 5th book was supposed to come out, she found this website created by these three girls dedicated to Sirius Black because they absolutely LOVED him. I mean she felt rreeaalllllyyy bad.
she shouldnt feel bad because killing him, i think, really made harry learn how to take care of himself more.

I know I know. I usually like sad books, but they always leave me wishing that things could of gone right. Like, in this book Thirteen Reasons Why (this is not givnig away anything), the main character, Clay, gets these cassett tapes and they're all by this girl who committed suicied, Hannah, and they all say the thirteen reasons (who are people) why she committed suicied. And Clay and Hannah used to secretly like each other but they never really showed it. And by the end of the book, I was CRYING wishing Hannah would still be alive so Clay could have another chance to get to know her and be with her. It was SSSOOO sad. But it was a good book...

Also when Kreacher beacame friendly, Harry was going to Voldamort in the 7th part…and in 'the prince's tale' I cried a lot in between as well :(:C
In Twilight?
Book 1- when bella was about to go to James at the end
Book 2- when Edward left and at the end when they're in Italy-- lots of time really
Book 3- bella between edward and jacob
book 4- i cried a lot but can't remember when it was the last book so yeah :'(
In Harry Potter is the only one that I cried in... :DI cried a ton when Sirius died. HE IS MY FAVORITE character. He was amazing. Once I had a dream that he was my Godfather. It was amazing! I also cried when Dumbledore, Fred, Lupin, Tonks, and Hedwig died. And i was sad when it said that Kreacher was all nice and had beef and kidney pie waiting for them and they never got to eat it! :,( So sad.
