Devlin Scott (devlin_scott) | 8 comments You have some very good titles to choose from this month. It's a difficult decision.

Paul Haston | 22 comments Hi everyone.
Just thought I'd nominate my latest book ECHO AND THE MAGICAL WHISPERS for the next group read. Very different from Rising of a Dead Moon (our group read for July), but with strong feminist issues. The book is a YA fantasy about elephants! I am a passionate advocate for saving the elephant and the book has a strong ecological theme. A young female elephant, Echo loses her father to a poacher's bullet and must lead the herd to safety from a great flood, which the magical whispers have told her is coming.

Check it out. You'd be surprised. It does have relevance to this group! Plus net profits from the book will go to charity to help save elephants from slaughter by poachers.
Paul

Laura (stereoparade) | 7 comments I'd like to nominate a book that was just released, "I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban". It's the story of the girl who was shot in Pakistan for trying to further education for girls. Just think it could be interesting, so please consider it for the next round of nominations!
