What book is next on your cozy reading list?
Thank you Sherry.I am still reading
Which I am enjoying.
Though her covers are making me hungry.
Nothing like a dough nut to make you feel better.

Sassy,
I love the Seaside Knitters series.
If you want to know more about them I have reviewed two of the most recent in the series on my book blog:
Holiday Yarn - http://mysterysuspence.blogspot.com/2...
Moon Spinners - http://mysterysuspence.blogspot.com/2...
I just finished
. Loved it-I can see how Beaton could become a real addiction for me. Just what I needed!

I read both of the Cupcake cozies in this series. Like them! And I tried some of the cupcake recipes in the back as well - very yummy!
Sooooo many to choose from . . . but I think I will read Fruit of All Evil by Paige Shelton (Farmer's Market Mystery #1).
Heather wrote: "Sooooo many to choose from . . . but I think I will read Fruit of All Evil by Paige Shelton (Farmer's Market Mystery #1)."FRUIT OF ALL EVIL is actually the 2nd in the Farmer's Market series. I read the first one, FARM FRESH MURDER, and didn't like it.
Well, I did finish
and also
. But I've now started
and then plan to read
. I got a bunch of books that came out on 5 April so I guess I'll have to update my list on the "latest splurge" thread. LOL
I went out and grabbed
from the library this weekend because I liked the first book. Hope to start it this week.
I'm so excited! My library finally has a copy of Mistletoe Murder. They didn't have it a few months ago when I checked. I've been in school, so I haven't read much just for fun. On a whim, I checked my library again today, and they have a copy! Hooray! I have it on hold, and as soon as it's on the hold shelf, I'm going to go grab it. I've read 2, 3, and 4 in the series, so it'll be nice to see how it all started.

My library finally ordered these. They usually don't order paperbacks that are actually "shelved". Paperbacks are uncatalogued so you can't request them or even know they are available.
Thanks for the input, Ellie and Melodie. I'm looking forward to it. Shay, what does your library do with them if they are not shelved?
Kaye wrote: "Thanks for the input, Ellie and Melodie. I'm looking forward to it. Shay, what does your library do with them if they are not shelved?"Technically, they are on a shelf. Sorry. What happens with hardcovers is that they are catalogued. So, you can find, "Evanovich, Janet" in the library records. You can search for Janet Evanovich, request her books, check if it's available, etc. Paperbacks are dumped on the paperback shelves, if you look at their computer record, it will say "Adult Paperback". So, they might have A Deadly Cliché, but the only way you'll find it is by going to the paperback section and actually looking for it. You can't request them or even know if they "exist" in the library system.

I just got The Long Quiche Goodbye on my nook from the library a few days ago. But right now I just started Dressed to Keel by Candy Calvert and I'm enjoying it.
I got quiche, too. I just checked out Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death by M.C. Beaton from the library. I hope this one sticks. I've been starting and stopping quite a few mysteries lately. Not because I can't focus, but because they're just not that good. I also got her Death of a Scriptwriter.-Robin Allen
I've been trying to find Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death for quite a while at the library. I really want to read it. I'll have to see if they even have a copy in their inventory.

You can get almost any book that way. Some libraries charge, but mine doesn't. Thank goodness, or I'd go broke with all the books I get. :-)

Actually I just started volunteering at the library so I'm learning a lot more about it than I think I'd normally would. that is one of the questions that I have for them. I also have a list of books that I want to check on-line to see if they have. If they do, I put a hold on them. If they don't I'll check out the interlibrary loans. Thanks for the suggestion. It's a great idea.
This group really made me laugh. (not a bad thing) I just got home from one of my daughter's book signings and am hungry and tired but figured I'd check out my GoodReads mail first. Within several posts I foundLost and FONDUE, The Long QUICHE goodbye, Evil ECLAIRS, CANDY Calvert, Agatha RAISIN and QUICHE of Death. If I weren't so hungry it wouldn't be half has funny. Where's Hannah and her Cookie shop when I need her. *LOL*

Shannon wrote: "Curiosity Thrilled the Cat is next in line for me"I liked that one. I enjoyed the characters and the cats (of course). The mystery was good, too.
Kaye,I have to recommend A Pug's Tale since it is one I recently received as a First Reads Win and the author is a GoodReads author. One of the things I liked about it is that the dog helped solved the crime; however the dog didn't overtly have powers to do so. It's hard to explain, but the narrator gets clues from the dog.
My next cozy will be
Devil's Food Cake Murder as I checked it out of the library last week and it's only a two-week loan. But I will have to read a non-cozy before that.
Karen, you gave me an idea with your last post: I suddenly thought of alternating difficult reads with cozies, rewarding myself for hard work with something easier.Took me long enough to think of it! I've done it but not in a planful way. I'm trying to organize my reading in a way that feels organic & possible. Something my rebellious self won't immediately resist!
Wow Ellie, you are so organized. My main reason for going with a cozy next is that it's a library book! But I did find when I read a lot of Laura Levine books right in a row, I didn't enjoy them as much. I used to have several books going at once, and still do but not like before. My problem is that if I let too long go between readins I have trouble remembering what I already read and have to go back and skim.
I am working on "Great Expectations" little by little and because I have read it before, I don't have that problem. My biggest problem with GE is getting Pip mixed up with David Copperfield. *LOL*
Just finished What's a Ghoul to Do and starting Demons are a Ghouls Best Friend, a wonderful series by Victoria Laurie.
Don't you all just love the puns in the titles of some of these cozies? Just reading the titles is amusing to me.

"The Wedding Shawl" is the latest in the Seaside Knitters series by Sally Goldenbaum. I have read them all and liked them. Looking forward to reading this one, too.
