I wasn't impressed either. I think I stopped around the 3rd chapter.

It was, I finished it really fast too!

I request a lot of them through the intralibrary loan program. My local library doesn't have a lot either but if it's in a library anywhere in FL, they can get it for me. The only drawback is I never know how long it's going to take and I have to go to the library to request them. ( can't do it online)
Janet wrote: "Started

Next one for me is probably Knitting Bones, by Monica Ferris (#10). My library is busting at the seams with cozies, I worked there for 3 years a couple of years ago and loved it.
My next one will be Town In a Lobster Stew Maine is a favorite setting for me as I lived in New Eng. for over 50 years before relocating to "Podunk", FL.

I finished and enjoyed reading 'Homicide in Hardcover'It was a strange one though. The writing style didnt match the theme of the book at all. The story wasnt bad, but I think I expected more.. I enjoyed it but it was one of my slower reads

I'm one of people who really likes the Bibliophile series. I like Brooklyn & her quirky family.
The bibliophiles mysteries are on of my favorites at the moment. So much so that I've found a book restoration class I'm signing up for. :)
Kaye wrote: "My next one will be Town In a Lobster Stew Maine is a favorite setting for me as I lived in New Eng. for over 50 years before relocating to "Podunk", FL."Which Podunk town in Fla are you in?
I think I will read
next. I picked this one up from the library after really enjoying The Trouble With Witches which was the first book I read by this author. So I hope the this one is good too!

They're my favorite :) the first cozy I ever picked out on my own was This Pen For Hire and I've been hooked ever since! I'm surprised they're not more popular.
I agree Peytavi, I don't hear a lot of people reading them but I think she's gaining more popularity. I think lists like these help a lot.
Finishing Wreath of Deception and looking forward to starting The Cruellest Month by Louise Penny. I also doing the War and Peace read-a-long .... definitely NOT a cozy1

Ahhh... I was born and raised in a Podunk town south of Tampa. :)

I know some bloggers are reading a chapter a day for a year.

I love the coffeehouse mysteries!! Such a fun series
Heidi I wrote: "I just got

I'm debating between Revenge of the Wrought-Iron Flamingos and The Darling Dahlias and the Cucumber Tree
I'm going to go back and forth between madelyn Alt's bewitched mysteries ( just read the first) and finishing off m c beaton. I gave myself a "batting cleanup" challenge this year to finish off some authors I'd read almost all of, and she is one of them.
Sue T wrote: "I'm debating between Revenge of the Wrought-Iron Flamingos and The Darling Dahlias and the Cucumber Tree"Sue T, Both books are good, but I really enjoyed The Darling Dahlias and the Cucumber Tree. I loved the fact it was set in the '30s and in the south. It was very vivid.

Then, one day, I couldn't find many books I wanted to read at the library, so I borrowed it out of desperation. I'm glad I did, like the series.

"Aileen - I'm in Australia too and when I'm looking for books no longer in print, I find http://www.abebooks.com usually has a selection of them at all prices from book sellers everywhere. They all have different shipping costs to AU too, so you can sometimes find the book cheap, even after factoring in shipping.

Thanks! I'll check it out. So hard to find a good range of books in Australian bookshops, I find.
Aileen - for me it's not only the range, but, coming from the US, the prices nearly gave me a stroke. :) I end up buying very few books here b/c it's simply too expensive to support my book habit buying locally. I rely on bookdepository.com, abebooks.com, thriftbooks.com and amazon, even though I'd love to be able to support an independent bookshop locally. Hope abebooks has what you're looking for... cheers! :)
Jennifer, so true. The prices are absurd. Who can afford to spend $20 - $30 for every book?? it really sux. I find paying postage to have books shipped new from Amazon is still significantly cheaper (ie about 2/3 of the price) of buying them new at a local bookshop. Its disgusting.
I need to read
for review and then I'll start
Paige is a new-to-me author so I don't know what to expect. Has anyone read this series? Any thoughts?
Just finished Tea Is For Terror by Gayle Wigglesworth
I loved it and now
Washington Weirdos by Gayle Wigglesworth
These are on my kindle and I am so impressed by the writing and characters.....will probably read all of her books this year.

I read the first in the Farmer's Market series and really didn't like it at all.
