Terri wrote: "Dead & Berried by Karen MacInerney"I just picked this up at the library today. For some reason, my library never ordered this one (from 2009) even though they had all of the ones before and the one after.
I also picked up, today, Night of the Living Deed, An Uplifting Murder, A Killer Crop, The Diva Cooks a Goose, Home for a Spell, Christmas Mourning, and A Stitch Before Dying.

I'd like to hear if it is worth waiting for before reading the rest of the series which seems to be more accessible.
Cant wait to read Buttercream bump off, I am really enjoying Sprinkle with Murder!! I would not have heard of half of these great books if it wasnt for you all! ;)

I am on the ILL hold list for Buttercream Bump Off, but I saw it at Target this weekend for 20% off, so it was around $5.00. I was super tempted to buy it! I did buy Mortar and Murder for 20% off because NONE of my libraries have it for some reason, which is odd since they have all the others in the series. I couldn't believe Target had both books - they never have my cozies there.

I love that they are marked down! :)
I know Heather! I was shocked too. I check my Target's book selection once per week and I have never seen them there. Not only that, but they were all 20% off :)Kate I totally agree with you - keep them coming!
I found both Buttercream Bump Off and Buffalo West Wing at Target. They also had 2 Joanna Carl and Mortar and Murder there as well. I had already read the Joanna Carl books and I received a copy of Mortar and Murder from Jennie Bentley. Love Target has these books!
Heidi I wrote: "I am so glad it wasn't just a fluke with my Target store and others seen the same thing :)"Will have to check my local Targets. I don't go to Target very often because Walmart is closer. I have found some cozies at Walmart from time to time.
Just got back from my local target and they added 2 Joanna Carl books in addition to the others! Hope they keep it up!

I read Buttercream Bump Off a couple nights ago...I really enjoyed it too! Gave it an A-.
I have two cozies on my TBR pile...
and
. I started both before christmas but never finished and dont know which to pick back up! But I ordered The Trouble With Witches from the library which will be in soon and I really want to read that one, so choices choices. Which out of these would you pick first? lol ;)
Priscilla wrote: "I have two cozies on my TBR pile...

I hope Target continues to stock cozies. Maybe they suddenly realized they were missing out by not carrying some publishers? I hope it's a trend that not only continues, but that they increase the number of choices.
Susie in KS wrote: "I picked up

My next book that I'm going to be reading is
This is Book #6 in the Coffeehouse Mystery Series.
I only have two more chapters to read in
Back to
. Started it a while back and then got sidetracked with other things and I always like Louise's books.
Erin wrote: "Next up for me are

Hope you like DON OF THE DEAD! It's one of my favorite series!
My next cozy read will be
. I 've read good reviews about this book, so I hope I'm making the right choice!
Dru Wrote:I could never get into her books. Neither could I dru. I got a copy from the library after reading so many great things about the books, and the story sounded great. The characters confused me though and I had trouble following the writing. A real shame as I wanted to love the books..
Hi! I'm new here :-)At the moment I'm into knitting mysteries. A friend of mine lend me some of the Maggie Sefton knitting mystery books last year and I got hooked ...
At the moment I have "Died in the Woll" by Mary Kruger on my TBR-pile.
Heidi I wrote: "I just got
and
from the library - not sure which one to read first??"Hi Heidi! I have both books but have only read
and I expect to read
sometime soon.
was a very good cozy IMO and you can read this one first if you're into culinary cozies, since the various food descriptions are mouth watering! On the other hand, if you prefer a more humorous cozy, you can go with E.J.Copperman. I have read and truly enjoyed his "Double Feature Series" ( he and Jeffrey Cohen are the same person )so I'm certain this one won't disappoint either!
Thanks for the info Zoe. I did not know Deed was written by Jeffrey Cohen - I read the first double feature book awhile back. I'll start with the Long Quiche Goodbye then since you have already read it and it was good :)
Did Mortar and Murder
and liked it a lot.
is coming Feb 1st. In the meantime, I am feeling like some Alisa Craig but none of her stuff is out in e (and my paper copies are so fragile that I hate to read them again). And suggestions? I like Melinda Wells/Laura Palmer and Krista Davis, but wouldn't mind some older book suggestions.
Heidi I wrote: "I just got

Hi Rianonne and welcome to the cozy mysteries group! I have a friend who loves the Knitting books you mentioned I have them on my 'to be read' pile I am currently learning to crochet and I know there are some crochet cozy books too, enjoy your time here, your list of books to read will no doubt grow! lol ;)
Priscilla wrote: "I am re starting
I began before christmas.."I tried this one Priscilla, but I gave up before I was half-way thru it ;( I think I'm only one of a few who didn't like this book.
I have a few books going right now, but the next on my list will be
or Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter for the Feb theme and Sizzling Sixteen from the library. I am dropping all other books as soon as
comes in!
I am really enjoying
and have added the rest of the books in the series to my to read list. Next up from the library is
I hope it's worth it, I've read a lot of not great reviews about this one.
I've got The Chocolate Cupid Killings waiting for me at the library and will start it today. Sure to be a quick read for the 50 state challenge.
Kaye Wrote:I've got The Chocolate Cupid Killings waiting for me at the library and will start it today. How strange Kaye! I went to my library today and we never have that many cozies in stock, I found a brand new library copy of
the chocolate cupid killings!! I have never read any books by Joanna Carl so cant wait to read it ... ;)
