What book is next on your cozy reading list?
I have never read anything by Earlene Fowler before, so I have decided to try Fool's Puzzle.

Betty wrote: "Well, I will say this book is pretty dried out and brittle, but I'm looking forward to it having heard so much about her. Thanks for the message!"Shelly indicated these books are no longer in print. If you like this author, there seem to be quite a few books by her on the Borders.com site under rare and out-of-print for around $2 each. Just wanted to let you know. I have run into frustrations before not being able to locate books by an author because of this. Happy reading!

Oh, great--now I have two more series to read. ;-)
Both of these sound good. Especially the candy one. Thanks for the referrals.
Your welcome, lol. I have many different series of these books. I have the first in each of them. I love them for quick reads.Angela
Tobin wrote: "Up next for me is Oolong Dead, by Laura Childs. It's the newest Tea Shop mystery."
Tobin- I love her series- her characters are wonderful, I wish there was a tea shop like that where i live!

Barb wrote: "I just picked up "Dead Days of Summer" by Carolyn Hart at the library bookstore. I've never read anything by Carolyn Hart so am not even sure it is a cozy. We'll see!"
OMG! Carolyn Hart was one of the first cozy authors I discovered. I like her Death on Demand Series (of which Dead Days of Summer is #17). I am really fanatical about reading my series books in order so that I get to know the characters. I hate when I pick up a book and read it and then find it is several books into a series. I have to have everything come to a screeching halt while I hunt down and read all the rest of the books in order :-).
Barb: How did you like Dead Days of Summer?
Have you read Joan Hess's Claire Malloy series? Also bibliomysteries and cozies. Claire is a bookstore owner and single mom. Really good series even if the daughter is somewhat obnoxious. (actually more than somewhat)
My next cozy is
, the 3rd in the Crime of Fashion Mysteries. I love the main character, Lacey Smithsonian. While I was looking this book up to add the cover I found that there is another book titled Hostile Makeover,
. Guess I am going to have to look it up and read it, too.
Melissa wrote: "I have next on my cozy list..Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder ~ I have read another book by Joanne Fluke and enjoyed it."I love all of the books in this series. Good plotting, characters, and a nice enjoyable read.

But if she doesn't get over that stupid Mike/Norman thing soon, this is one reader she's going to lose!
I have a GR giveaway book to read and review. After that, I think I'm going to read Latte Trouble by Cleo Coyle. I really liked the first 2 books in the Coffeehouse Mystery series so I'm looking forward to another installment.

I havn't read those yet, but a couple of authors were suggested, so I'll try them:1)Dorothy Gilman-Mrs Pollifax series
2)Beth Groundwater and the 3)Mrs Bundle series. The authors that I knbow I like are all caught up so I was looking for more!

Next book for me is
--if I ever make it through
. I don't know why but this book is taking me way longer to read than normal. The story isn't "gripping" me this time although I liked the first two. Maybe a series that I can.
Denise wrote: "Next book for me is

I love the book store location, something I can relate to...Lisa

My next mystery to read is A Ghost of A Chance by Yasmin Galenorn. I like her Otherworld series so hopefully I'll enjoy this
I just finished The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley, which was very good (I gave it 4 stars), and I'm now starting Nancy Pickard's I.O.U. Nancy is one of my favorite mystery authors, both in person and to read.
I'm starting Knitting Bones by Monica Ferris. I've been steadily making my way through this series and I love them! It helps that I also like to knit so I enjoy characters who like that too!

Jennifer wrote: "I'm starting Knitting Bones by Monica Ferris. I've been steadily making my way through this series and I love them! It helps that I also like to knit so I enjoy characters who like that too!"One of Monica Ferris's books was the first cozy book that I read! It got me HOOKED on cozies! I think the first book that I read by this author was Knitting Bones, I have read several of her books, and plan to finish Crewel World in the next week or so. I think Crewel World is the first in her series. I really like her books~
The cozy I'm currently on is Lover's Knot by Claire O' Donahue. But to reply to Beth....I put Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie on the list as that looks good too! Thanks for that suggestion! ( I've tried about 100 cozy authors and liked 40 of those and read all that those 40 authors wrote...not writting this to brag in any way, just always looking for new ones, so any suggestions are wonderful)
Jennifer wrote: "I'm starting Knitting Bones by Monica Ferris. I've been steadily making my way through this series and I love them! It helps that I also like to knit so I enjoy characters who like that too!"I used to like this series, but the last couple, especially the most recent
, just weren't that good. So, I think I'll pass on them from now on since there are so many other authors I really enjoy.

I emailed her to tell her how much I liked it and she emailed me right back. It's always a fun treat to connect with the author too!

I, too read Sweetness at the bottom of the pie. I loved it. That girl makes me wish I paid attention in chemistry class!
Hi I'm new to this group - I love reading & really enjoy the cozy mysteries. Currently I am working my way thru the Murder She Wrote books & the books by Joanne Fluke next up is the Sugar Cookie Murder.

Well, I finished Lover's Knot and really enjoyed it! I'm waiting for Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie from the library. Maybe we have similar likes in these books!
Next on my list are books 2 and 3 of Kathy Brandt's Underwater mysteries. Looking forward to them as soon as they get here.
I just finished Laura Child's The Silver Needle Murder (Tea Shop mystery). I just started Jimmie Ruth Evans' Best Served Cold ( A Trailer Park mystery)

I've tried several different recipes from the Hannah Swensen books. The best one, and one I continue to make from time to time, is Blue Blueberry Muffins from

I put a "Very good" next to [Book:Knitting Bones|367064] in my notebook. I agree with you about so many other authors but I'll still hang with Monica for a time yet.
Liz wrote: "I, too read Sweetness at the bottom of the pie. I loved it. Give me a sales pitch on why I should read this book.
Denise wrote: "Regarding Monica Ferris "Betsy Devonshire series" Melodie wrote: "I used to like this series, but the last couple, especially the most recent , just weren't that good. Im reading Crewel World right now..its the first one in the series.
