Candy Apple Dead (Candy Shop Mystery, Book 1) by Sammi Carter is a fun read. This series has grown on me. The newest one, Sucker Punch (Candy Shop Mystery, Book 5) by Sammi Carter , is on its way to me.

I have never read anything by Earlene Fowler before, so I have decided to try Fool's Puzzle.

You're going to love it! I love anything Earlene writes, especially the Benni Harper books.

Shelly indicated these books are no longer in print. If you like this author, there seem to be quite a few books by her on the Borders.com site under rare and out-of-print for around $2 each. Just wanted to let you know. I have run into frustrations before not being able to locate books by an author because of this. Happy reading!

Oh, great--now I have two more series to read. ;-)
Both of these sound good. Especially the candy one. Thanks for the referrals.

Angela Holland (bookaunt) Your welcome, lol. I have many different series of these books. I have the first in each of them. I love them for quick reads.

"

OMG! Carolyn Hart was one of the first cozy authors I discovered. I like her Death on Demand Series (of which Dead Days of Summer is #17). I am really fanatical about reading my series books in order so that I get to know the characters. I hate when I pick up a book and read it and then find it is several books into a series. I have to have everything come to a screeching halt while I hunt down and read all the rest of the books in order :-).

Barb: How did you like Dead Days of Summer?

Have you read Joan Hess's Claire Malloy series? Also bibliomysteries and cozies. Claire is a bookstore owner and single mom. Really good series even if the daughter is somewhat obnoxious. (actually more than somewhat)

Denise | 618 comments My next cozy is Hostile Makeover (Crime of Fashion Mystery, Book 3) by Ellen Byerrum , the 3rd in the Crime of Fashion Mysteries. I love the main character, Lacey Smithsonian. While I was looking this book up to add the cover I found that there is another book titled Hostile Makeover, Hostile Makeover by Wendy Wax . Guess I am going to have to look it up and read it, too.

message 62: by Denise (new)

Denise | 618 comments Okay, just looked up the other Hostile Makeover by Wendy Wax . It is not a cozy, not even a mystery.

Denise | 618 comments Next book for me is Homicide In Hardcover by Kate Carlisle --if I ever make it through Hostile Makeover (Crime of Fashion Mystery, Book 3) by Ellen Byerrum . I don't know why but this book is taking me way longer to read than normal. The story isn't "gripping" me this time although I liked the first two. Maybe a series that I can.

One of Monica Ferris's books was the first cozy book that I read! It got me HOOKED on cozies! I think the first book that I read by this author was Knitting Bones, I have read several of her books, and plan to finish Crewel World in the next week or so. I think Crewel World is the first in her series. I really like her books~

message 77: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Malmquist | 225 comments The cozy I'm currently on is Lover's Knot by Claire O' Donahue. But to reply to Beth....I put Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie on the list as that looks good too! Thanks for that suggestion! ( I've tried about 100 cozy authors and liked 40 of those and read all that those 40 authors wrote...not writting this to brag in any way, just always looking for new ones, so any suggestions are wonderful)

I used to like this series, but the last couple, especially the most recent Thai Die (Needlecraft Mystery, Book 12) by Monica Ferris , just weren't that good. So, I think I'll pass on them from now on since there are so many other authors I really enjoy.

I just read that and loved it!! I hope you enjoy it too. The author seems very sweet as well. I emailed her to tell her how much I liked it and she emailed me right back. It's always a fun treat to connect with the author too!
