This one was pretty good. The second in the series, not so much.
This one was pretty good. The second in the series, not so much."Nice to know. I haven't found a 'geeky' character and I'm halfway finished.
Good old reliable Aunt Dimity. It's her Good Dead time. I dont read them in order this is an early one
Since I wrote a mystery novel,"I'm No P. I.", based upon the Thin Man movies of the '40's, I want to read more mystery novels from that time. Alan Zacher
Next up will be The Case of the Man Who Died Laughing: From the Files of Vish Puri, Most Private Investigator which I just won in a giveaway.
After trying #1 in this series I am starting #2; Bookmarked For Death , "A Booktown Mystery" by Lorna Barrett.
another Selma Eichler book. I borrowed three from the library, took one back, am reading murder can depress your daschund, it is hilarious. She has talked twice about other mystery authors, one is Tamar Myers, and I forgot who the other author was. I guess I am reading too much.LOL
Suzanne wrote: "Good old reliable Aunt Dimity. It's her Good Dead time. I dont read them in order this is an early one"The earlier ones with the nice covers were so much better.

The "Murder Can Depress Your Dachshund" book sounds like a fun read. Theres another one for my list. You got me on the word "hilarious". I have never read Eichler so that will be a bonus. I like trying new to me authors.
Over half into Bookmarked for Death and am really likeing it.
I will be starting #4 "Chapter & Hearse" a Booktown Mystery
by Lorna Barrett tonight. I hope I can wait until dark.

next."I enjoyed this book (and the series), hope you do too.
Reading Magnolias,Moonlight, and Murder
by:Sara Rosett. I am not familiar with the author or this series, but it says it is a cozy mystery. The lead character, Ellie, is a professional organizer. Another first for me.
I'm going with another "first for me author", Juliet Blackwells IfWalls Could Talk.
. A Haunted Home Renovation Mystery.
Finished "If Walls Could Talk". I am looking forward to more of this series. I found "Death and the Walking Stick"
at a library sale. It is "A Trudy Roundtree Mystery" . This one is next on my to read list.
Well, I got to chapter one, page one, paragraph 3 before I realized that "Death and the Walking Stick" is not technically a cozy because the lead female character is a police officer. Personally, that dosn't bother me too much. I will finish the book and I hope the rest of it is very similar to a cozy. We will see.
I tried to read
for my library's October read and I just couldn't get into it. For a cozy mystery, it's a very... sophisticated fluffy read. I may try to take it out again when I'm done with
. I'd like to read
before Halloween.
Jennifer wrote: "Murder With Puffins
will be next up for me, I think."I need to read that too. I just went to my library book sale and they had all of hers on sale but that one!
I am going back to an author that I have read a few times before (Scrapbooking Mystery) and enjoyed, Laura Childs. "Death by Darjeeling",
#1 in " A Tea Shop Mystery".
This year I still want to read The Man In The Brown Suit, Lord Edgware Dies, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, The Mysterious Affair at Styles :)
