He bowed to show his appreciation. "Thank you, My Lady." Without waiting for a response, he walked down the isle and disappeared behind the many shelves, cursing himself silently all the way.
She smiled and laughed softly as she went to put her book away. He was quite a perculiar man. He intrigued her
Arthur dropped himself in the plush carpet and picked no book in particular and just read it. He needed his mind off things.
She smiled a little as she walked him for a moment before clearing her throat to catch his attention.
His head shot up to meet the face of a beautiful goddess. He shook his head to clear his mind as he stood up and bowed. "Yes, My Lady?"
She smiled. "Do not fear so much Good Knight, I only come to speak with you." She gestured for him to sit back down.
She smiled and sat down across from him. "You've been a Knight in my fathers forces for many years, have you not?"
"By appealing to be one?" he itched to say, but kept that thought to himself. "I think it was once when I saved this kid from a few thugs, and your father's men saw me. But I'm not sure, though." He paused for thought. "Maybe it was because I appealed once. "
She nodded. "So you're happy being a Knight? You enjoy your duties?" She asked curiously, though her father let her do as she wished her mother attempted to keep her caged up and as a result she craved all things against her mother
His eye twitched slightly. He realised lying his way out wasn't going to be the solution. But he didn't want the princess to be correct about him lying to her, so he stayed silent.
He nodded even as his eye started to twitch slightly. "Yeah..." he said with doubt fillinf that very syllabus.
"I don't, My Lady," he claimed. At least, not entirely, he thought.

((I'm fine either way really. Which do you prefer?))"Are you sure, Good Knight? Because I don't wish to make you uncomfortable, I wish for the very opposite in fact. I wish. For you to be at ease
((Either too. just not too short...))
"I reassure you, My Lady, I am not uncomfortable in any way." At least, not really. "What brings you here, My Lady?"
"I reassure you, My Lady, I am not uncomfortable in any way." At least, not really. "What brings you here, My Lady?"
She nodded. "Here to the library or here to speak with you Good knight? For I came to the Library to relax and I came to speak with you to feed my curiosity." She smiled
He arched a brow at her. "And what, may I ask, is your curiousity, My Lady? Have you never met a knight before?" he interogated more than asked.
She smiled. "I have met them yes, but none such as you and none whom I have had a chance to speak freely with." She smoothed out part of her dress as she spoke.
He returned he smile with a polite one. "Of course, My Lady. But may I be able to kbow the reason as to why you have never been able to freely speak to a knight? No one's stopping someone from the royal bloodline. Especially a direct decendant." He was slightly confused, and didn't even think twice about her parents not letting her.
She smiled and shrugged. "My mother fears everything, she wants me to remain caged and uneducated about the world around me. She has steered me away from long conversations with Knights because of her own fear I will not remain innocent." She laughed softly. "My mother knows nothing of the world."
Arthur snorted. "I doubt so. A Queen has her own reasons, now does she not?" he inquired.
((Sry for the short post. M on my phone...))

"Well my mothers reasons are flawed. And as I am not a queen there isn't anything I can do besides pretend to heed my mothers wishes."
"Well," he sighed as he chose his words carefully. "That's a pity," he stated while he eyed his princess cautiously.
She shrugged slightly and nodded. "Eventually she will realise I can't be her and let me be me....or they'll marry me to someone who can 'handle' me." She sighed then shook her head. "I'm sorry, I'm burdening you with my issues."
He held up his hands with a light laugh. "Nothing to worry about! It is a knight's greatest honour to have such an easy conversation with such a noble princess. Unfortunately," he sighed as he got up on shaky feet, brushing his chain armour. "My time has come to resume my work."
She smiled and blushed slightly. "Well, I do think I shall see you again sometime soon." She stood as well, fixing her dress.
He bowed low as he thought briefly of being the gentleman and kissing his princess' hand. He dismissed the thought as soon as it flashed across hia mind, his eye twitching slightly. "I request permission to leave the presence of My Lady," he said with a shaky breath.
She curtsied to him with a smile. "Of course, please. I shouldn't be keeping you from your duties. I apologize."
((Wait, how do you want this to proceed?))
Arthur stood back up straight and thanked the princess before exiting the grand library with a much better mood than when he entered with.

((More 'accidental' secret meetings? They can progress from there?))She blushed and smiled to herself as she watched him leave. He was a strange man but he ignited her ever insatiable appetite for the peculiar in order to satisfy her curiosity.
