Yeah... We do not get that!! Do you get February break?
Quite frankly, I don't care about Columbus. Yay, he discovered America, but Vasco Da Gama discovered the Tale of Good Hope, and Ferdinand Magellan was the first to circumnavigate around the world, and discovered that THE EARTH WAS ROUND. Both were just as important (the last one is arguably the most important, even though he died before he could get back to Spain), but did they get a whole day of celebration? No, no they don't. People barley know them, actually. Even though Coloubus was a complete ass, and made a mistake, he is hugely regarded - which is kinda unfair. And those are my feelings towards the matter. I'm going as a grim reaper (based off the Croak series). Basically I'm going to wear black pants and hoddie, carry a plastic scythe, and wear skeleton makeup. It's going to be awesome.

Columbus didn't discover America. You'll note that it was already inhabited by tens of millions.And Greek astronomers proved that the earth was round 2,000 years before Columbus was even borne.
Columbus did start one thing, though.
He is the father of the transatlantic slave trade.

Yeah, I still don't believe that was her. Like the article stated, it's circumstantial evidence. We can't be sure that was her even if it is somewhat of an answer. It's not a definite one so I don't count it. Besides, it's cooler as a mystery anyways.
It was... her measurements. A white woman's skeleton in the south pacific. With broken fragments of window. And the sort of instruments you'd take along on a flight. Very close to where Amelia was during her last radio call.
Were there any other white women with Amelia's measurements flying around the world with their last radio calls near that island that you'd like to tell us about?
Still though. Circumstantial = not completely solidified in truth. Just because it was a woman in the South Pacific doesn't mean it was her. And, nope, I won't be swayed. Plus, I don't believe in Darwinism :) Oh! And a theory isn't necessarily true either. It's just an idea that some people accept -- same as your Amelia Earhart hunch.
A WHITE woman. How many white women were there in the South Pacific who were pilots (who were as tall and wide as Amelia), in planes, who crashed, last heard of in THE SOUTH PACIFIC? Unless you've been serially murdering women who fit those descriptions since the late 30s, I don't think anyone else fits that description.

It's not an opinion. Opinions are regarding things like favorites, bests of something, world views, and ideals. This is what we call denial.
Um, nope. I can have my opinions on whatever I want to. I don't believe that was her so there. I mean, I don't have to believe an article on the internet. How do you even know that article is factual? How do you know it's not a load of bullshit? I mean, come on. And even if it was truthful, it still doesn't prove that it was her. So if you're talking about being in denial of accepting your ideas, then yes. I am. But if you're talking about being in denial that she was found, then you're wrong. I'm not in denial; I'm taking a stance in believing something different than you. There's a difference.
Okay, what do you think happened to her?
*Shrugs* My guess is just as good as any other's. I'd think that she simply just crashed and we just never found her. I mean, the pacific is huge. The chances of finding her if she crashed were slim to begin with and now it's just impossible. I don't really have a theory; I just admire her for what she did to prove herself and the female gender is all.

Hopefully there all at school or something. I'm really starting to get worried. What if our fears are coming true? What if the group is dying? Oh my gosh what are we to do? We may need that war very, very soon.
