Hello! I'm Brian McClellan, author of the Powder Mage Trilogy from Orbit Books.

Promise of Blood is my debut novel: an epic fantasy that takes place in a world where technology has progressed into the industrial age and explores the role of magic alongside muskets and black powder. The book begins in the wake of a coup carried out by Field Marshal Tamas and the consequences, both internal and external, for Tamas' beloved country.

I love reading as well as writing, and some of my favorite active authors today are Joe Abercrombie, Steven Erikson, Brandon Sanderson, and Brent Weeks.
