I've been astounded at the number of people who have contacted me to say that as left-handers they were forced to use their right hand at school. Even today, teachers are still trying to persuade pupils to use their right hand. So I was pleased when the local school read my book to their class and one little boy excitedly thrust his hand up to announce that he was left-handed. Apparently he has atrocious handwriting, but the teacher said that having read the notes at the end of the book she will now show him the correct 'left-handed' way to position his paper and hold his pencil. It is very rewarding to know that at least one child has benefited from the book.
