Books added to series that shouldn't be?

The Demon Warriors series by Lynn Hagen has tons of books added to it.
Everything after book 6 is what I'm questioning.

There are 17 books listed that have not been published and may never be published.

Only 6 have been published. I don't know who added all the other books or where they got their information -- none of it is on the author's website. I went to the author's website and asked about it and she said:

"Always follow my Coming Soon page for the release list. That Demon Warrior list is not correct on Goodreads."

So, the author herself said it was incorrect, so I don't think it was she who added all these books. I am confused as to who did and why...and where they even got the titles?

Should these books (7-23) be removed from the series list as they are not published or verified? And should the books (everything after book 6, "Kobe") be deleted?

This whole thing left me pretty confused.

I find it interesting that the name of the Goodreads user who added those titles resembles a lot with the author's name...

I managed to see who added those books and the name does seem similar (but this user reviews books by Lynn Hagen and not as an author, but as a normal reader, which makes me think it's not the author herself**). So I don't think it's the author. It's possible, though, I suppose. But I wonder why if the author in fact added the books, why she'd tell me the list was incorrect. I mean, why would it be incorrect if she added them? It wouldn't be. And if she didn't want people to know what books were to come and only wanted people to keep watch via her Coming Soon page on her website, why add all those books? Some thing don't make total sense.

Either way, books 7-23 are not published (and according to her websites Coming Soon/WIP page, aren't going to be released in the near future) and if the account that added them is not the author herself, they may never be published (unless there some sort of insider info or something?). There's no way to verify anything at this time...which makes it pretty confusing.

Is there some sort of policy about things like this? Or is there any way to confirm that the author inputted the books (and thereby verified they are in fact going to be published eventually) as opposed to someone just adding books that shouldn't' be added?

So you've had direct contact with the author and she told you the books are bogus?

I asked on her comments section of her website. She often comments to people here, I've seen it before **. She addressed my question about the list and the books and I was given the answer I quoted in my first post (with the link, it's addressed to Maia, which is the name I used on there -- my question was on page 3, I think). I will allow that it is possible someone was replying as her, using her name. The comments section on her site doesn't have the best security and someone could have posted as her...but I don't know why. (I'd think those posting there, being mostly fans, would want the list to be correct as it'd mean more books, but who knows). I can see if I can find another means of contacting her, if necessary?

So I can only assume that yes, she does reply to people at times via that portion of her website. But if more solid proof that the list is incorrect is needed, I understand.

My reasoning for bringing this up, all these listed books, is that I've seen them chilling there for awhile now and there's no information given to explain them. There's no list of titles on the author's main site, there's no listing or mention of them on there either. I just found it weird, to have all these books added to GRs when they, it seems, don't even exist. (Unlike her Brac Village series with 15 books that are all listed on her site, with covers, titles and release dates -- these books are not like that). I thought only books soon to be published & published are to be added? These don't even have a WIP listing on her site. I just thought it was weird.

;-) I suppose in time, we'll discover if they're accurate or not.

I would suggest messaging the user who added them asking where they got their information and pointing to the authors responses.
