If this book is lendable, you would loan it to your friend from your Amazon account. Go to manage my kindle and then in the actions of this book, there should be an option to loan it if it is lendable. Not all books are lendable as that depends on the publisher.

Ahh that explains why I couldn't do it. I did try that.

I have had people send me books through ebooks or iBooks before via email but I don't know how to send books to other people.

No its crappy that B&N only allow books from them on the Nook. (most other readers allow you to download reading apps to the device, EXCEPT the Nook)

If you're friend has a computer or laptop, she can download the Kindle reading app, its free. (which is what I use to read books)

To lend books between friends through Kindle account, you need to purchase books through amazon.com (it has the most permissions for lending books. other countries - canada - europe haven't caught up with the times yet) You can convert to a .com account (amazon.com has great customer service and they can walk you through it)


sometimes we can only shop in one store for our favourite things. I don't think J. Sterling should get flack over this....
