ange (undercommons) Negative infinity

message 259: by Julia (new)

Julia | 73 comments Infinity isn't a number, it is a value assigned to something known to go forever. It is not recognized by mathematicians as a number, for it would, in some weird way, put a limit on numbers, and numbers are infinite, so you can't have that. Also, therefore, you can't have negative infinity, as infinity is, again, not a number.

ange (undercommons) Well, we're speaking figuratively, of course.
