Kimber Wheaton (kimberleighwheaton) | 8 comments Review of Romancing the R.A. (Campus Crush, #1) by Ashelyn Drake Romancing the R.A. by Ashelyn Drake

It's a skincare, beauty and lifestyle blog, but it has a prominent "Meg Reads" feature. It's new, but I would love the support from this community :) Check out the post on Gone Girl, The Time Traveler's Wife, and the books I'm looking forward to this year!

Looking forward to checking out and connecting with the other blogs posted here.

Jessica (jwilliams1284) | 5 comments Recently, I was sent Amazon's list of "100 Books to Read Before You Die" and as an avid reader, I was sure I had read at least half. I was wrong - I clocked in at only 33. So - I'm making my way through the list and blogging while I go. Check out my new blog, comment and share with all of your fellow book lovers!

message 21: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (lm5590) Hi everyone! I have a silly question for you.

I was thinking about starting a book review blog, and I was checking out several of the links posted above to get some ideas on how the blogs are laid out. One thing that confuses me is that many of the blogs include a "policies" page and "how we review" page. Some of the blogs even state that they accept requests from authors to review their books. Is this necessary? Am I allowed to just create a blog to review books for my own enjoyment, or is it necessary to post that I should take requests from authors with advance copies and all of that?

I'm just a little confused. I've never created a blog like this before, and I didn't realize that it was such a serious business. Any help, clarification, or advice would be greatly appreciated!
