"UH OH! those footsteps sound familiar" He laughs again as the footsteps get louder
Ava forced herself to stay where she was, and her hands started shaking.
BOOM the door flies open and here came the blacked out suits. The Deltas.
She was scared, terrified, and her skin was pale. "No...!"
"Wait a minute fellas, we still have a deal to make" He says talking to the Deltas. They stopped and everyone moved to the nex room, leaving Ava tied in the chair.
Ava took shaky breaths, and tried not to cry. She sat there silently, waiting for them to come back.
Than a bunch of gunfire exploded from the other room
Ava's eyes widened, and she tried to move again. Her chair was bolted to the foot, and the ropes were tight. "Aagh!"
Finally what seemed like an eternity, the guns stopped firing.
Seconds pass and Greg busts through the door with a bullet in his shoulder.
He rushes up to her and hits her with a backhand. "Thought your friends were gonna play hero. We had to deal with them"
Ava's cheek stung, and she tasted blood. "Who's we? The Deltas?"
"You friends were dressed as Deltas, but the thing is.. We knew they were listening, but we never called the Deltas. Guess who we found under the masks?"
Ava was relieved that they didn't call the Deltas, because she was already in pain. "Who?"
"Lets just say poor Jacob begged for his life before I shot him." He laughs
Ava shook her head in disbelief. "No...no, Jake...he can't..." She let a tear drip down her face. "What do you want!?"
"Your gonna pay for what you did, now your going to suffer" He says dropping his smile into a serious face.
"What did I do?!" Ava screamed, shutting her eyes and having tears stream out of them.
"Don't play stupid Ava, you know exactly what you did" He said raising his voice
"I turned you in because you killed a person! A little girl!" She cried, talking hiccupy breaths.
"You think I wanted to kill her!!!" He screams "My sons life was threatened, I had no choice!!!" His eye regained sanity. "But when you turned me in I wasn't there to protect him and he was killed." He says bringing some tears to his eyes
Ava flinched, shaking. "Please don't hurt me."
"I am going to make you suffer as I have suffered." He says wiping the tears from his eyes.
Ava screamed again. She knew that witness protection couldn't help her. "Please...!"
"Im sorry Ava, but you gave me no choice" He said looking at her
Ava kept screaming, maybe someone would help her.
"Somebody please shut her up." He says as someone is putting tape over her mouth
Ava nodded slowly, relaxing against the ropes. She heard some heavy footsteps, and wondered if the Deltas were here.
