Megan | 120 comments I know a lot of people said it dragged on and stuff! But I personally LOVED it what about you guys?

message 2: by Caedy (new)

Caedy Eries (karida) | 32 comments I liked it, I've not yet read the 3rd book in the series, but it's on my to read list, and will probably be gotten to sometime in the remaining time this year.

message 3: by Esther (new)

Esther | 42 comments I thought it was ok. I didn't like the first book at all but i'm glad i kept with it and read the 2nd and 3rd book as i found them more interesting.

message 4: by Lynn (new)

Lynn (papergalaxies) It was good, i have read the trilogy repeatedly, even though iv read the whole thing like 15 times i still find it fascinating.

message 5: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn | 26 comments I found it moving quite slow, first book focused more on developing characters more than pulling you in. However, I did like the second book, and I liked it enough that I'll be buying the 3rd book soon.

message 6: by Ify (new)

Ify (cookies_and_cream) | 107 comments I liked the first and the third book in the trilogy, but I was very disappointed by the second book. I expected there to be a better flow of drama, but the third book made up for it :)

message 7: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I loved the first book, but was disappointed with the second. I had to know how it ended though so I read the third which was pretty good.

Gina (My Precious Blog) | 21 comments I absolutely couldn't put Matched down. Its was AWESOME! Then I read, Crossed, and major deflate. It was just a tedious read and kind of sucked my enthusiasm from the series. I've still not found the motivation to pick up the last book. I do want to know how it ends up, I'm actually hoping Xander and Cassia end up together.

message 9: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (alyssaauch) | 14 comments Matched was awesome! Crossed held my attention. Reached? Not so much. Had to force myself to finish it!

message 10: by Linh (new)

Linh (winterlivesinourbones) | 5 comments I love the whole trilogy. They are slow, but tender and calm. No cliché, no drama or annoyed character. Instead we have poem and art and music. Xander and Ky's friendship are interesting too.

message 11: by Sabrina (new)

Sabrina Winters I loved this series! I'm fact, I have a signed copy of Reached that I got for Christmas.

message 12: by David (new)

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 214 comments Cool :) I might have to think about reading the sequels!!

message 13: by Sabrina (new)

Sabrina Winters Actually, I thought that the sequels were better than the original. They most definitely have more action.

message 14: by David (new)

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 214 comments Ok good to know, thank youuuu!

message 15: by Gabby (new)

Gabby | 58 comments I agree with Sabrina that the second and third books were better but honestly I don't remember half the series because I read them so fast

message 16: by Trinity (new)

Trinity I wasn't that impressed with the first book so I hope the rest are better. It did feel like it dragged a lot in the first book though.

message 17: by Ravin (new)

Ravin | 45 comments I am skeptical about whether I should read this series, I keep putting it off.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm not going to finish the series. I barely finished the first one.

message 19: by Ravin (new)

Ravin | 45 comments See, most people love it or hate it.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

HATE IT!!!!!!!

message 21: by Shannon (new)

Shannon | 53 comments I liked it...but felt like the first book felt different than the other two. Almost like a different author...

message 22: by Katie (new)

Katie Perrodin (katieperrodin) | 22 comments I own all three books, but just started reading matched today. I read it back in high school, but then started on some other series so I didn't read any further.
My favorite kind of books are like these, where it's kind of like a future world where we messed up our world and let crazy, greedy people take over and create a socialist society. Then you have the one person, sometimes accompanied by a best friend or crush, who decides they can't live like that anymore, and does something about it.

Jessica (Goldenfurpro) (goldenfurproductions) | 1020 comments I like the first book and the third book, but the second book is so boring! GAH! It was so hard to finish it!

message 24: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I finished this series as well. I liked book 1 a lot, but book 2 & 3 were so terrible (at least in my opinion)... All the talks about the pilot almost killed me.

message 25: by Ann (new)

Ann I really liked the covers and so I guess that is what got me into them. But like I said I really like the cover and not the actual book.

message 26: by J.R. (new)

J.R. Dawson | 12 comments Still considering it.

Gigi (imaginingbetweenthepages) (imaginingbetweenthepages) I recently finished the first book, it really dragged for me especially in the middle but the ending has me intrigued to read Crossed. Any opinions on whether I should or not?

message 28: by Belle (new)

Belle | 28 comments second one wasn't my favourite, but I thought the series was good. personal favourite was the 3nd one.

message 29: by Amy (new)

Amy | 5 comments sad to say i started the trilogy and i haven't finished it yet. i read the first book and i bought the second one, but i got lazy and i ended up reading other series instead. i'll get to it eventually. >.<

message 30: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I can't blame you. They were all pretty boring.

message 31: by Rosina (new)

Rosina (lacedaggerbooks) | 72 comments Oh, I liked this trilogy. I read it last year when I was reading a bunch of dystopian stuff as that's what I was writing. It's not the best series out there but it was enjoyable, I am glad I read them.

message 32: by Krista (new)

Krista | 1550 comments I liked this book and thought the concept was interesting. It kept me reading all of the books. Its not going to make my top 10, but it was totally worth the read. After this series I read the Delirium series and it took me FOREVER to get through that first book after liking this series so much.

message 33: by Georgie (new)

Georgie Chiu (iamgeorgie) | 14 comments I really like the first book of the series, but then, OMG, the second book was VERY disappointing!!! Like nothing really happened, it is for sure giving readers all the little facts and links of the tablets. But they do not need a whole book. The third book was tiny better, but overall, not recommending to anyone.

message 34: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (bookswithbri21) | 53 comments I thought that the first book was OK. I read it a while ago, and remember it being a bit too cliché, and without anything to make it speical. I was originally going to continue on with the series, but since I've heard such terrible things about the second book I don't think it's worth it anymore :/

message 35: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 7 comments I read the first book about a year ago and thought that it dragged a bit until the end. I just finished the 2nd book I really liked it I finished it in about 5 days, which for me with my schedule is fast. I found the plot interesting and loved how the people actually found one and other and then separated at the end of the book. I can't wait to read the last book!

message 36: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Honestly i think Matched was good quick read. I feel like all the action happened too fast! I am so confused if Cassia likes Ky or Xander. I think Cassia is confused too.

message 37: by Anna (new)

Anna (annajayr) | 22 comments I honestly loved the first book, but as the Hunger Games series did, it went downhill fast.

message 38: by Ilana (new)

Ilana (iscm13) | 33 comments so, this may be a bit long winded but here goes my opinion.

LOVED the first book the first time i read it - i though that the story line, characters and whole tone was set up really well.

Didn't like the 2nd book the first time that i read it. i felt like it did a whole lot of nothing for me, but knowing that i invest myself fully into a series, i was going to keep on with it until the end.

When the third book came out, i went back to re-read the whole series up until that point to make sure that i didn't forget exactly where i was in the plot and i realized that the 2nd book wasn't quite so bad. i think that i was dwelling on things the first time arounda bit more than i should have.

so...that takes me to my overall opinion- i really enjoyed the series. while there were nods to things in THG (at least things that were relatively similar) i think tha tit was a great original ideal for what society would be like at a point in the future. the characters were great, their relationships complicated in just the right way and all in all nicely done.

message 39: by Linsey (new)

Linsey I have never read the matched series? Can someone give me a summery of what the book is about?

message 40: by Shima (new)

Shima I loved this series! I loved the characters, the setting, and the overall storyline. I really liked the romance between Cassia and Ky, and the conclusion to the trilogy. The only thing that annoys me is that I still can't figure out how to pronounce Cassia's name!

Becky (booklovingcoffeeaddict) | 4889 comments Hello everyone. I started listening to the Audio book this evening. I read the book year ago, but I forgot most of it. So I'm starting over!

Looking forward to seeing what you all think/thought!

Good luck with the audio! I Hope you enjoy it!!

message 43: by Becky (new)

Becky (booklovingcoffeeaddict) | 4889 comments Hey Shima, according to the audio book, it's CASHA (phonetically).

Of course! :o)

message 46: by Becky (new)

Becky (booklovingcoffeeaddict) | 4889 comments Ok, finished Matched and after I get my BR done I'll move on to #2.

Is anyone else working on this series?

message 47: by prag ♻ (new)

prag ♻ (janayanation) I tried. I honestly did. I even got through the first book. But after that? No. Just no. It's dragging on pointlessly with no authentic plot.

message 48: by Sabrina (new)

Sabrina | 9 comments I absoultely love love this seiries. I've read all the books! I like her writing style, I even got to read her newer book "Atlantic" I believe it is called.

message 49: by Becky (new)

Becky (booklovingcoffeeaddict) | 4889 comments I'm on the last CD of Crossed - I hope there's more action in the 3rd book. If I hadn't been listening to this one, I'm not sure I could have made it through. But I love the characters and I really do want to know what happens to them, so I'm glad I'm getting through the series!

message 50: by Natalie (new)

Natalie I started to read the first book of this seires then got bored of it. No action. Should I read this series?
Thanks! :)
