(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments Lol, okay? So what were the types of fantasy you listed again?

message 3: by kirstin ✿ (new)

kirstin ✿ (shoutohdoroki) | 639 comments Contemporary, urban, epic/high fantasy, paranormal fantasy. So what strikes you best?

I really love epic fantasy, but it requires huge storyline and since we're only doing a ones, I don't think it would work well.

Urban + paranormal fantasy sounds pretty good to me. I love fallen angels and forbidden romances. But if you can think of another idea, I'll hear them out ^.^

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments Lol, okay. Um, what's contemporary and urbin fantasy? They sound familiar, but I'm not entirely sure what they are.

message 5: by kirstin ✿ (new)

kirstin ✿ (shoutohdoroki) | 639 comments Well, actually they're the same lol.

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments Um, okay. But what are they?

message 7: by kirstin ✿ (new)

kirstin ✿ (shoutohdoroki) | 639 comments Uhm... they're the ones that take place in a city or modern times.

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments Oh, okay. Thanks. X) Um, urbin + paranormal sounds good to me. I also really like fallen angels as well, so we could probably do something with that. Like maybe a demon and a fallen angel falling in love?

kirstin ✿ (shoutohdoroki) | 639 comments Heyyy. No notifications :/ Urgh. Oh yes! I love that. One of my favorite plot twists :3

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments Haha, okay. Sorry. I'm usually on and off the whole day. ^ _ ^' So we're doing fallen angel x demon love? XP Do you have any ideas for a plot?

kirstin ✿ (shoutohdoroki) | 639 comments I'm thinking the girl is a nephilim, then this guy is part demon who hunts her because she has something in her blood that he needs?

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments I honestly don't really have an idea at the mo. :/ But that works sounds interesting. ^ u ^ Oh! What if the demon has a brother who's close to dying, and the only way to save him is to get some of the girl's blood because it has healing properties?

message 15: by kirstin ✿ (new)

kirstin ✿ (shoutohdoroki) | 639 comments Yes, yes! I like that idea :) Then we'll just add some plot as we go. Would that be okay?

Name: Ace
Age: 20, almost 21
Species: Half-demon
Personality: Dark, mysterious, usually soft-spoken, if he even speaks at all. He doesn't trust easily, always showing hardly any emotion at all. Even when he starts to trust a person, he's always a blank slate. Only a very few have seen any kind of emotion, such as his younger twin brother, whom he's very close to. He doesn't even show anger that much, but if he does show any anger, you better watch your back.
Appearance: He has short, reddish-black hair that he keeps spikey most of the time. He has deep hazel eyes that look almost gold, and they flash red, pretty much the only sign he'll give you as to the fact that he's feeling angry, and a light gray when he's feeling nervous or even scared. He's about 6'2 and between lean and muscular, though he's leaning more towards the lean side. He has a scar that goes from the tip of his collar bone down to his right hip. He usually wears tight, dark clothing: light collers make him feel anxious, and loose fitting clothing make him feel as though someone could easily grab him in a fight.
History: It's a secret~ (And no, I'm not being lazy; there's actually a reason for it. XP)
Other: The only family he has is his brother, whom is very sick and is slowly dying. Ace is desperately searching for something in order to save his brother.

(Um...Think that's it...)

kirstin ✿ (shoutohdoroki) | 639 comments Name: Callila Hawthorne
Age: 18 years old
Species: Nephilim, but she doesn't know it
Personality: Callila is a generally sweet and kind person. She's friendly and approachable, and trusts people easily. Although she seems gentle and delicate from the outside, Callila also has a tough heart that knows when she needs to stand up for what she believes in. Many think of her as a weak person because of her outward facade, but there's more to her than meets the eye.
History: She's an only child in her family. She has no idea that she once had a brother, who had been missing for a very long time now.
Other: There's one weird thing about her that she's been very suspicious of; she never has a wound. Or rather her wounds always heal quickly that it almost seems it they don't appear at all.

Ace

I jerked awake, my heart racing slightly, but I wasn't entirely sure as to what it was that had woken me. I glanced around the dark room almost wearily, but found nothing. My eyes fell on the still form of my brother, Spade-Yes, Ace, Spade. Haha. Funny, I know. I watched for the faint rise and fall of his chest, and that's when I realized: there wasn't a rise and fall of his chest. Lurching out of my chair, I raced to my brother's side, fearing the worst. I put my ear against his chest and felt my heart plummet as I heard nothing. Not waisting another moment, I placed my hands on Spade's chest and started doing CPR: thirty chest compressions, give Spade two breaths. Thirty chest compressions, give Spade two breaths. Chest compressions. Breaths. Five sets. Then ten. By the time I reach set number fifteen, my hope is lost, the pain that my brother is finally gone searing. "Dammit, don't do this to me, Spade!" I exclaim, tears burning at the backs of my eyes. "You can't die now, you son of a bitch!" In frustration, I pound on his chest, thinking that nothing will bring him back now. But then I feel his heart splutter underneath my hand, and Spade gasps, eyes fluttering open. He turns to me with a mock glare. "Who's a...son of a bitch...?" he asked weakly. I gave a soft, relieved chuckle as I kissed his sweaty forehead. "Still you." I teased back wearily. This was the second time this week that I had to give Spade CPR. He was getting worse, while I was no step closer to finding him help. I was running out of time. Time Spade doesn't have.

{Callila}

I bolted upright in bed, not realizing I was sweating profusely. Once again I had the same dream - or should I say nightmare? - about a guy dying, with his brother attempting to resurrect him from his death. It was so weird as I have never seen those two faces before. As much as I tried to recall if I have met them already, no memory would surface from my mind. They were strangers. And yet they kept appearing in my sleep.

I tried to drift back to slumber, but after vain attempts I gave up. Standing up I stretched my limbs and decided to go have a morning jog. My parents were not around; they're on vacation for the weekend and I am left in our house to fend for myself. I have no problem about that, actually. It's just that ever since my recurring dreams, there's an inexplicable presence lurking in the corners of our house. As if someone's watching me. The thought sent shivers down my spine.

After washing away all traces of sleep in my face, I slid in sweatpants, sweatshirt, and sneakers. Then I was off to the park.

Ace

After I helped Spade choke down some porridge-it was one of the few things he could still eat-I tried to convince him to go back to sleep, but I saw him studying me with a frown. "What is it?" I asked over my shoulder. "You have bags under your eyes." he murmured, voice weak. "And the color of your eyes is a really light gray." I blinked, then gave a soft sigh, running a hand through my hair. I closed my eyes and took several deep breaths, trying to calm myself. Opening my eyes again, I glanced over at Spade with a weak smile. "Better?" Spade's frown deepened. "I can tell that you're still nervous, Ace." he murmured. Letting out a soft breath, I walked over to his bedside. "That's because you scared the crap out of me, Spade." I murmured. "I really thought I had lost you this time." Spade looked up at me, expression sullen. "Maybe next time you should just let me go..." My eyes widened in alarm. "Spade! How could you even suggest that?" Spade sighed, turning away from me. "Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for all you've done." he murmured. "But face it; I'm not getting any better, and we're both suffering. It would be better if you would just let me die." I felt a lump in my throat, and I took a hold of his hand. "Don't say that." I murmured, voice tight with emotion. "You know that I'd be lost without you. You're the only family I have left. And no matter what, I will try my hardest to save you. I will find a cure, Spade." Spade looked up at me, looking unconvinced. "Ace..." I bent down and kissed his forehead. "Get some rest." I murmured, letting go of his hand and heading towards the door. "I'll be back soon." "Ace?" Spade's voice stopped me at the door, and I looked back at him. "What is it?" He offered me a weak smile. "Don't do anything too stupid, alright?" I chuckled, opening the door. "No promises." I replied. "Love you, Spade." "Love you, Ace." Closing the door behind me, I sighed, running a hand through my hair. Then, composing myself and fixing an emotionless mask on my face, I started heading towards the park, hoping that today would be the day that I would finally be able to save Spade.

{Callila}

I have never seen Central Park this crowded before. Usually whenever I rounded the park I could easily maneuver myself through the morning joggers, but today it was different. The throng of people kept pouring in that it was difficult to see past their heads. If I were with someone else I bet I could lose them in the wave in just the blink of an eye. New Yorkers kept bumping into my shoulders as I tried to weave through the hundreds of people on either side of me. Call me over-exaggerated; I'm just telling the truth.

When I finally saw a bench half-empty, I didn't hesitate to claim a spot. As I wiped the sweat off my face the memory of my dream drifted back and forth into my consciousness. As much as it weirded me out I actually hoped that I could do something to help the guy on the hospital. Now I know it was just a dream. But there's something in the back of my head that's nagging me, telling me that every bit of it was real. I couldn't help but wonder what was the meaning behind it.

((I feel like my replies are bad...))

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments (No, your replies are fine. ^ u ^ Um...Maybe...Hmm...Maybe some guy approaches Callila because he's heard rumors of her blood and he tries to capture her and then Ace gets involved and Callila gets away, but then the guy tells Ace about the blood and then the chase is on? Maybe?)

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments (Hmm...That could work...Like maybe we go with your idea where they somehow meet at the park, something supernatural happens and...I think I'm overthinking everything here. :/ Like maybe Ace feels something off with Callila in the beginning, but before he can find out exactly what, that's when like a demon or something could appear? Am I talking around in circles here? Because I tend to do that sometimes. ^ _ ^')

Ace

The sun was shining. People were chattering happily, children squeeling in delight as they chased each other. It was a beautiful day to be outside.
And I absoultely hated it.
The sun, the noise, the feeling of suffocation-I only liked being out in the 'great outdoors' when it was nighttime and there was not a human to be seen from miles. You can tell that I just absolutely love people.
I weave between the thick crowd of annoying people, trying to find enough space so that I can catch my breath. Why was I here again? Oh, right. I was hoping to find a cure for Spade. What a laugh.
As I avoid getting hit by some lady's purse, I suddenly get the strangest feeling. I don't know what to call it, but I find myself weaving through the crowd, heading closer to the source until I come across a bench with people already sitting on it. Don't ask me why, but I felt drawn to the girl sitting there. I suddenly found myself sitting next to the bench, but progress stopped there. I didn't know this girl, never saw her in my life. I may have been drawn to her, but like I may have said before, I'm not exactly considered social.

{Callila}

Everything was perfectly normal until moments ago, when I got this powerful and yet unknown sensation surging through my veins. The feeling was completely foreign - something I have never experienced before. I couldn't even begin to explain it. It was as though I was electrocuted. Not that I had been electrocuted before, but it's the first word that came to my mind when I felt it. To be honest I couldn't put it into words. It's that bizarre; so bizarre it left me devoid of any coherent statement.

Once again I wiped the sweat off my face using the towel draped across my shoulder. Glancing at my wristwatch, it blinked 7:13 am. I really should be going now. I may have a weekend off but there were still homework to do. Plus, there's a party I would attend to later. My parents are not home, so why not enjoy the freedom while I still can?

As I was about to stand up from my current seat, my gaze absentmindedly traveled from the street to the guy sitting right next to me. That's when my heart started picking up speed and my eyes widening in shock. Even with the side view, I would recognize that face wherever I go. The same face that kept appearing in my sleep. The guy that attempted to revive his brother from his death. He's beside me. And I couldn't believe it. He's real.

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments (Lol, that makes me happy to hear. XP)

Ace

I see the girl stand and glanced at her. Being half demon, my senses are stronger than most, so I was able to pick up her racing heart. I furrowed my brow ever so slightly, yet my face remained a mask. "Are you quite alright there?" I asked. "You look a little...ill." To be honest, I'm not even really sure why I cared.
Oh, wait. I don't. It was a conversation starter, though, and I'd take it. This girl, with her strange energy, intrigued me. And I had this strong feeling to figure whoever-and whatever-she was. But in order to do that, I had to engage her in conversation.
Oh, joy.

"W-who are you?" I stammered, hoping that my question didn't come off as rude as I thought it did. That was the first thing that escaped my lips the moment the guy spoke to me. It was completely out-of-the-blue, and I regretted it the instant those words came out of my mouth. Not nice. Not at all. As I tried to regain my composure I found myself staring at him. Now, don't mistake it as the 'love at first sight' thing. It was obviously not. In fact I might be looking like I had seen a ghost. Sweat trickled down my forehead even though I had just wiped it off seconds ago. What's this? I asked myself. Was he the reason why I felt this sudden inexplicable sensation around me? I slumped down on the bench once again before I actually replied to his question. "I-I am quite alright... Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude."

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments Ace

The corners of my mouth turned down in a frown at this girl's actions.
The very reason why I tried to avoid coversations, not start them.
Resisting the urge to sigh or even roll my eyes, I waited patiently-sort of-for her to answer my question. "Are you positive?" I asked. "You seem slightly confused. Are you having a heat stroke?" The whole time, my tone seemed casual, like I didn't really care one way or another.
Oh, that's right! I didn't.

I took in a deep breath before answering him. This time my voice was a little steady, sure. "Yes. I'm positive." I even offered her a reassuring smile. We sat close to each other as there was not enough room in the bench. The proximity was kind of suffocating; the air around me feeling a little restricted. Or was it just me? Probably. But you really couldn't blame me. When you met a guy from your dreams it would give you the same reaction I was having at the moment. It's as if he walked straight out of a page of a book. And all you could do is stare at it, the way I was staring at him right now, memorizing his perfectly sculpted face, taking in even the smallest of details. Realizing that I was basically checking him out, I averted my gaze and bit my lip. A habit of mine whenever unease settled within me. Stupid Callila. What was I doing?

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments (You're fine. X) Goodreads hates me too. :/)

I studied this girl intently. Maybe my expression looked unconvinced, maybe it didn't. Who knew, who cared? It took me a couple moments to realize that she was staring back at me, but-unlike her-I didn't look away, acting all embarrassed. In fact, I didn't look away at all. I was still trying to figure out who-or really, what-this girl was. I was still studying her intently when I felt a slight shift in the atmosphere. Glancing up, I frowned as I felt a familar presence of two demons drifting along the breeze. I let out a sigh. Great. Just what I needed. Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dumbass.

{Callila}

There it was again; the peculiar change in the ambience that made me uncomfortable. This was the second time I felt it ever since I sat on this bench. It somehow reminded me of the unknown presence lurking in the corners of our house. The thought gave me shivers. As much as I'd like to dismiss the idea of a supernatural entity dwelling in my place, I couldn't convince myself. I have never been a believer of the paranormal stuffs. But if you yourself experienced it firsthand your perspectives would surely be given a new meaning. Was I watching too much horror films these days? Probably. And I just hoped that what I was having today was some sort of effect of my newfound hobby. I figured I'd take a break from those.

My heart tightened inside my chest, as if telling me that I should go already. Standing up again I glanced back to the guy I just met, saying "I should probably go. Sorry for the trouble." I nodded my head and smiled a little, then I was off.

But before I could even make it out of Central Park goosebumps ran the length of my body - arms, legs, my back. My natural instinct screamed danger at me. Instead of walking I sprang up into a jog at first, then found myself running. That's when I realized what it was. I was being watched. Wait, no. I was being followed.

(╯`▭´)╯︵ ǝɔnɒꓷ | 3881 comments (Lol. Those actually aren't their real names, Ace just calls them that because he absolutely everyone. Granted, he hates everyone, but you get my point. XP)

Ace

I rose a brow as the strange girl got up and left. Sighing, I propped my elbow on my knee and rested my chin in my hand. Three...Two...One...Sure enough, two shapes blurred by me, creating a strong enough wind to ruffle my hair and knocking down several other bystanders. Sighing again, I stood, beginning to casually make my way after the two blurs. Chances were, those two nimrods caught whiff of the girl's presence and decided to investigate. All while trying to aggravate me, I'm sure.
Oh, this day just keeps getting better and better.
