Epilogues- Should books have them?

I love them because you learn what happens after the main events in the books, like the COHF epilogue or the CP2 one. However, I feel like for some books they aren't done correctly, like Champion for example.

I HATED the one for Champion. I was thinking "Are you for real?? TEN YEARS." *chucks book*

It was perfect the way it ended. The two people who basically ignited the rebellion and led the way to victory are the ones that suffer in the end, they're the ones who don't come out on top at the end, the irony!! It was that twist at the end, that little sprite that made me love Champion. And then Lu messed it all up and took it away with the freaking epilogue. -_- ANGER *shakes fist*

(Minor spoilers for THG, Champion, and Allegiant)I like epilogues only when neccessary. Allegiant? I don't remember much because I was SOBBING THE ENTIRE TIME. I reread it when I pulled myself together and it didn't really wow me. Champion...eh. Like Rachel said, TEN YEARS OMG WHAT DID SHE EVEN DO THE WHOLE TIME? One year=Ollie died. YEP THAT'S ALL THAT HAPPENED THAT YEAR. YOUR DOG DIED. -_- Then we get to Day and June. JUST GO UP TO HIM ALREADY GEEZ I THINK TEN YEARS IS ENOUGH DON'T YOU THINK JUNE? UGGH then we finally see them exchange like six words to each other! Sorry, that is not enough for me. It's cute but I need more!
THG! I kind of liked this one because it was short and gave me enough imformation about Katniss' future.
