Unlikely Angel question

I would be scared to death but I would never show it to Brian. Yes, I would be co-operative with him to ensure that I would remain breathing. However, the first opportunity I had I would run and I wouldn't look back. Ashley had the prefect opportunity to turn this guy in and get away but she didn't take it. When I first read this part of the book I thought "You are one stupid female, call 911, what are you waiting for, maybe you just don't care your daughter will grow up without her parents." I was pissed but as I continued to read I started to understand why Ashley did what she did. I wouldn't have given it a second thought I would of called 911, I would of made sure I continued to breathe, I would have made sure my daughter had me in her life and wouldn't have cared what Brian did. That is just me, when you become a mother or a father your first thoughts are how to protect your child, your second thoughts are how to ensure you are in their life, and your final thoughts are my child(ren) are safe, loved and cared for tomorrow I start it all over again.
