I have the following problem: one of the Italian editions of Journey to the Center of the Earth (ISBN 8817127930) has been reissued in 2006. The ISBN stays the same, as well as the page number, illustrator, etc., but there is a new cover image. Should I add another edition or is there another way?

Yes, another edition. It would be an alternate cover edition for that particular ISBN.
A librarian note would be put up for that, no need to add the ISBN. :)
