9:58 p.m. and I can't hold my eyes open any longer. Good night folks.

Its 12.15pm here and its raining so there goes my plans for gardening today. Good look when you get to the hospital Cindy:)

Yeah, it wasn't what I thought. I read quite a bit of it too. Hated to abandon considering as much as I had read of it and trying to make my challenge and all, but I just wasn't enjoying it at all.
7:09 p.m. and dinner is almost finished. I went to the doctor today and have emergency surgery tomorrow. Came home and took a nap, read a little, and worked on dinner. Now I'm taking a break to eat and then reading and relaxing rest of the night.
8:03 p.m. and I'm getting ready to have a cup of coffee and read for an hour or two (if I don't fall asleep beforehand).
3:17 p.m. and I'm reading for a while. Almost feel like I'm back to my old self. One more surgery on May 1 and hopefully I'll be good as new. Making a lot of progress on my reading lately and that makes me happy.
8:12 p.m. and I am gonna read some. Thinking about starting
a little early since I have quite a few books lined up for the first week of May and I'm kind of a slow reader. On the upside of things - I started and completed 7 books in the month of April so far. That is really good for me. More than one a week and I am really happy.

9:04 p.m. and I'm gonna kick back and watch some TV with Jeff. Will decide what I want to read later. Or, I might just take a break for a couple of days.
My daughter just made my week. She went to the jr high dance 2night and then is staying at her friends. Her and her friend called me on speaker as soon as they got home just to tell me all about it. We stayed on the phone for 30 mins as they told me who danced together, who fought, who broke up etc. I'm not really sure why it effected me so much but I just loved that they called me to tell me the gossip.
watching a western called Dead Man's Burden with my wife while my tummy is grumbling and looking forward to dinner :0)

Dracula was a pretty fun read for me.
8:41 p.m. and I'm gonna call it an early night. Need sleep.
Waiting on my son's bus while watching the news about all the tornado's that was around last night. Glad we're ok but feeling awful about the places hit.
Bye Bye Kidney stones!!! Will give an update tomorrow folks. Hospital time. Surgery is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Good luck Cindy:-) I truly hope that when your kidneys are clear you will start to feel so much better:)
Getting ready to watch basketball and trying to relax because my stomach really hurts. Hope to get in some more reading as well.
I don't watch any sports but a few years back I used to take my kids to the live basketball ball matches every Saturday night. We supported our Manchester team and had lots of fun at the matches:O) At the moment its 1.40pm and I'm trying to get up to date on goodreads whilst my son has gone shopping for me:) They've been a big help over the past week:-)
9:24 p.m. and I just got home from hospital a couple hours ago. Had to be admitted overnight because of chest pains in recovery. One more procedure next week and HOPEFULLY this mess will be done. Get results from the biopsy in a couple of weeks.
Getting ready to go to my daughter's house for a cookout.
Cindy wrote: "Getting ready to go to my daughter's house for a cookout."What's she cooking and can ya fax that...with a beer :O)
Sometimes I really hate living in Missouri. Last week we was wearing coats, 2day is a record high. So I'm outside in the shade and breeze.
5:28 p.m. and this chair at the kitchen table is killing my back. Think I'm going to the bedroom for a while with my Galaxy and Kindle App.
I'm sat tying to catch up with everyone:D but not doing much at the moment, I've been listening to Dracula on audible and that's been good to do. I've not really listened to a book before! Its 2pm here and the weather is all rainy and windy again, wish it was warmer.
12:31 p.m. and I'm getting ready to stop by the doctor's office and let them suck out some more of my blood (if I have any left). Plan to stop by the library on my way home and pick up a book I have on reserve. Otherwise, I'm getting a bite to eat for lunch and chilling out a bit before I adventure out. It's supposed to rain and storm here for the next few days. Oh well, good reading weather.
Wow Cindy, sounds like the weather we are getting here in Washington State...the good thing about the rainy weather is it's perfect reading weather. I am jealous though that you have a library to pick up a book at. We actually live outside city limits so our library card would cost us 75 bucks a year, which I payed one year for, but the librarians there are so horrible and the library set up was so bad that it wasn't worth it. This is why I look forward to yard sales this time of year...cause then I can get great deals on books and fill up my own library at home :O)
Oooo, Dracula on audio might be pretty good. Is it read well with any music or sound effects? I really should listen to a few more books myself. My two favs. are The Mist in 3D sound (Stephen King) and his Pet Semetary. I really enjoy the old radio show type things. They used to make a series on CD of Twilight Zone stories done like that.

I did pay to to have one in another county for a year because I never was able to visit my local one but I worked right next to another one and would go there on my lunch breaks.
I've only listened to one audio book before and it was Nick Cave reading The Death of Bunny Munro: A Novel. That had music added to it and was pretty good.
Couldn't sleep last night so I took advantage and read until 6 a.m. Might sleep some during the day. Otherwise I plan on reading and washing some clothes.
I went out today for the first time in two weeks:-) it was only to the supermarket but it was still good though. Hope you manage to get some sleep today Cindy, its a terrible thing not sleeping. Its 6.45pm here and nicks round for dinner tonight and we've just put Arrow on to watch:)
Its 1.20pm and its sunny and warm here for the first time in ages. All my complaining to my landlord has paid of and they've got a gardener to do some work outside:O) It looks nice now for the first time in ages. I'm not doing much, I'm going to read for a bit now:)
9:34 a.m. and I plan on getting a cup of coffee, cleaning a little, and reading most of the day. Rainy and nasty here for the next couple of days, so I should get some great reading time in. Especially, with Jeff still gone up North visiting relatives. :)
9:14 p.m. and I can't hold my head up any longer. 48 hours without any sleep is enough. Will update my reading progress tomorrow.

Reading and putting ribs into the slow cooker overnight.
I just finished The Book Thief and I'm reading Blackout by Mira Grant. Just trying to let Joycedale catch up a little before I read anymore of it. Getting ready to start reading the Song of Fire and Ice series. Game of Thrones is the first book. Probably start that today or tomorrow.
Got me something to eat, some coffee, made the bed, and opened all the blinds (and it's sunny outside!). Now I'm starting Game of Thrones. This series might take me a while.
9:58 p.m. and I'm retiring to the bedroom.
Will update my progress tomorrow sometime. I am starting my babysitting job tomorrow so I won't get home until about 5 p.m. every day. I'm taking my tablet with me but I don't like it for GR's.

Sitting at the hospital waiting for my niece to make an appearance. We was hoping she'd be born yesterday since it was my daughters 13th bday and my sister's husbands 26th. We thought it be cool for 3 family members to share the same bday and have exactly 13 yrs between all of them
That is so cool Joycedale! Let's us know when the baby arrives. After family members have all been notified of course.
