Time change is messing with me already. Upstairs neighbor kept everybody in the building up all night, so I missed church since I didn't get to bed until nearly 6 a.m. I guess it has its advantages too with me starting a night shift job Monday. Plan to let Jeff have the laptop for a while and I'm gonna read.

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments My wife and I invited my older sister over last night and we ended up hanging out talking until well after 4 am. Slept in and got all confused with the time change as well. Just finished 30 minutes of guitar practice, trying to teach myself to play Hotel California. Now I am going to burrow into my library in search of something to read. I finished the biopography of Robert Plant yesterday, and enjoyed the hell out of it. If you are into that kind of thing, I recommend it.

message 1953: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks Adam. I am putting it on my TBR list. I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. One of these days I will! I too am retreating to the other room so I can read. Hope your back is getting better.

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Thanks, Cindy. Honestly I have been in a sort of blue funk lately, which is why I have not been on as much as usual. I feel alright today, so I have emerged from my shell for a bit. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

message 1955: by [deleted user] (new)

Signing off for a while and retreating to the bedroom to read from some hard copies. Be back in a little while.

message 1957: by [deleted user] (new)

Got sidetracked. Cooked some bacon and eggs for dinner earlier and got one hell of a headache. Have been laying down the last few hours. I did get some reading done, but plan to read a lot more tonight.

Angie | 623 comments What are you doing in your new job Cindy?

message 1965: by [deleted user] (new)

Will get my job assignment tonight Angie. All I know is that it is a fulfillment center. They have shoes, purses, etc. Geared mostly towards women. The name of the company is JustFab if this gives you an idea.

message 1966: by [deleted user] (new)

Going to work now!! Yes! So grateful to have a job.

message 1967: by [deleted user] (new)

Will be on and off for me unless it's a day off work. We are on mandatory 10 hour days and working five days. I am presently catching up on GR's posts, fixing something to eat for work, reading a LITTLE, and getting ready for work. Wish I didn't have so many books going at once. You would think I would have learned my lesson by now. REALLY hurting in my back and can barely move. Soaked in Epsom Salt for about 20 minutes when I got home this morning. Fingers crossed by body will hang in there for a week or so until I get accustomed to the demands on my body, especially my back.

message 1968: by [deleted user] (new)

Off to work. Should be off tomorrow = READING + BODY RECUPERATION.

message 1969: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) Just finished dinner and surprised BF w/ brownies. I was going to make chocolate chip cookies, but I forgot to take the butter out.

message 1970: by [deleted user] (new)

Woke up late because it took me forever to go to sleep after getting off work this morning. My back was hurting so bad my knees buckled from underneath me. Better now. Off work tonight so I plan an all-nighter to catch up on some reading.

message 1971: by Holly (new)

Holly | 140 comments Feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. Gosh, I really need some me time. Don't think I'm ever going to get any of that. Oh well..... :/

message 1972: by [deleted user] (new)

Sorry Holly. I have went through this quite a bit myself and can totally understand your frustration. I'm laying back down for an hour. It just now hit me how sleepy I am.

message 1973: by Holly (new)

Holly | 140 comments It's okay Cindy. I'm kind of used to it by now.
Have a good rest!

message 1974: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments Hey guys, I'm just letting people know who read this thread that Cindy won't be on for a few days. She been admitted to hospital with a worrying irregular heartbeat and kidney stones. I'm sure that all our best wishes and prayers are with her at this time.

message 1975: by [deleted user] (new)

Still in the hospital folks. Hope to go home tomorrow. Been reading some but it's a bit harder than I thought. Not in a private room. Just wanted to give an update. Hope to be back in the groove soon.

Get well soon, Cindy. BTW, sometimes I resort to using earplugs when I can't tune everything out.

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Hope you recover quickly, Cindy. My thoughts are with you, dear.
As for me, I am making final preperations for my trip to Charlotte, where I will meet with my brother to participate in the Mad Monster Party.
I am terrified of flying, but I have been informed that most air travel is perfectly safe, which really failed to make me feel any better about it.

message 1978: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) My thoughts and prayers are with you Cindy for a fast recovery.

Right now I'm packing for my trip to Tallahassee to pick up my $400 million MegaMoney lotto win. I've already told the girls I work with not to expect me tomorrow.

message 1979: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments Did you really win all that money Julia or are you joking? Just think of all the books you could buy, lol. Adam can you not take a pill to help you relax on the plane, I think lots of people do.

message 1980: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) Just kidding.... there was a winning ticket in Fla in Merritt Island, about 40 minutes from where I live. One of my co-workers has relatives in Merritt Island and called to see if they were winners.... she can't get in touch w/ them so she's got her fingers crossed.

Are you enjoying your new job Addy, it must be difficult for you to leave your little ones after being at home with them for a couple of years.

message 1986: by [deleted user] (new)

Just got home a couple of hours ago. I'm exhausted now and plan to do absolutely nothing but read and watch the basketball game at 9:40. Had to learn to give myself shots in my stomach before they would let me come home. Small price to pay. Didn't mind at all.

sonny (no longer in use) (satyrica) | 32 comments drinking iced tea and doing my beauty (in my case lack off) regime before finishing this short but ferocious novel.

message 1999: by Addy (new)

Addy | 379 comments I love my job so far and its funny because its a relief to go to work and be away from the kids...lol. I hope I don't sound bad, its just very trying raising kids these days. I love them to death, but working is kind of a nice needed break and its only part time. I think it would be harder if it were full time.

message 2000: by Kate (new)

Kate What kind of work is it you're doing, Addy?
