What are you up to at the moment?
@joycedale-good to know I'm not the only one who's computerless..lol. Don't know what I'd do without my phone though.
I got a job!!! Not the one I was waiting on, but one that pays a dollar more on the hour. It is about five miles further from my house, but I would crawl to it if need be. Start tomorrow. Still keeping those without a job in my thoughts and prayers because I know from experience what it's like wondering from one minute till the next if you're gonna be homeless next week.
I hope you are too Addy. Good luck and I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
Thanks Cindy! I appreciate it. Its easy to get down on myself, waiting for phone calls and making them. Just gotta pray and stay positive.

Believe me. I know all too well.

Congrats on the job Cindy!! Its about time something went right for you:-) I hope your next in line to find a job Addy:) you guys are always in my thoughts, and hopefully my son will be able to find a job soon. I'm not doing much, its late here so I'm going to make a cup of hot chocolate
Hot chocolate sounds sooooo good right now, but I don't think I have any. Thanks Angie!
Congrats Cindy! Now if the rest of us could just find one lol. My husband went for a phyical 2day for a new one he will be starting on monday. Right now the pays them same and its 40 miles vs a 1/2 mile but it has better advancement opportunities

Well, that's a start anyway. I'll have to drive about 20 miles one-way myself and I'm not exactly thrilled with that, but a job is a job. Especially now. Good luck on your continued search!

All your jobs are so far away!! Jayne only has to go four miles and we think that far, I'll tell her tomorrow that we're wrong, lol. I'm only two minutes from the tram that goes every where as well. Very lucky there as I don't need the expence of running a car. Can buy more books that way:)
Signing off and attempting to get a good nights sleep. Have to get up early and I'm loving it!

The one he has now is actually on the road we live on, its 1 mile round trip, the new one is close to 80 round trip. But in the long run he'll end up making a lot more but its going to make money tight for awhile.
Hi all! Not much super exciting going on with me at the moment, just super busy - but I wanted to drop on and say hi. Glad to hear Cindy found a job, best of luck to everyone else on the hunt. 'bought to read a little Laymon before bedtime.
Volunteered at the school this morning. My son's Kindergarten class had the 100 days of school activities.
It was fun, even if it was day 99. LOL (They canceled school for a winter storm yesterday. (And today it's in 38 degrees F) Most is melted now.
Writing...I just finished a the second installment in a series I'm working on called The Pulse...it's posted on my profile page.
Secured an extended leave from work, best news I've had in months. Also getting prepared to travel to Charlotte where my brother and I will be selling our books at the Mad Monster Party. This will be my first horror convention. I'm looking forward to all of it except the flying part. I have a horrible fear of flying.

Glad they gave you an extension Adam. Hope you are doing better. Wish I could go to your convention. It seems like a blast!

I used to volunteer at my sons school when he was small Mama and I loved every minute of it. The school trips were the best though.
I've not had tacos for years Addy but I think I might get the family round and do them as well. But tomorrow because its 12.30 am here. Hope everyone enjoyed them. I feel like I'm stalled a bit on my reading so I've got to get back on track.

I am so glad to hear about the extended leave of absence Adam. It would be totally wrong of them to let you go.

Totally exhausted, but believe me, I'm not complaining. Left this morning at 7:00 a.m. after getting absolutely no sleep last night. Had to pay my car insurance after work or they were going to cancel. Thank God for people who have been helping us. No car - no job. I'm not on a bus route unless I walk 2 1/2 miles up to the shopping center. Then the buses start running too late for me to be at work on time. Got lucky at the job. Three of us started and they told us right away that someone would be going to production, one to shipping, and one to quality control. It would have been really rough had I been sent to shipping. I got quality control where I get to sit all day. Back still hurts some, but not that bad. Only thing that was scary as hell - a cell phone battery blew up at a girl's station that was three feet away from me. A hazard of the job, but that stuff is pretty toxic.
I've got to get an early night tonight. I ended up staying on till gone 3am last night so I'm going now. Hope you had a good first day back at work though Cindy:)
I'm too exhausted to hang tonight folks. Sorry, but I would be willing to bet that I sleep tonight. Talk to everyone tomorrow.
Sleep deprivation must be going around. I settled onto the couch after dinner for a second and woke up a couple of hours later. Haven't had that happen for a while. Talk about time warp.

Thanks. It's a pretty good beer, don't get it often because I prefer pale ale and IPAs and Affligem is sweeter, hints of pear and apricot. Very refreshing though, and not too heavy. Worth a try.
I'm still up!!! I need to sleep so bad put can't. You're right Evans the imsominia must be going around. Its just gone 4 am here.
110 pm here in Minnesota and I am about to get my coffeemaker set to begin at 6 am. I hope insomnia isn't going around here Angie!
Good luck getting of to sleep Gary:) I think I'm going to switch of now and make some hot chocolate. That should work.
Haven't disappeared. Back has been killing me last two days and I think I might have a touch of the flu. Will be back tomorrow.
Get better soon Cindy! Its nearly 5pm here and I'm trying to get caught up on goodreads before going back to Drood. Nearly finished now
So some good news. Got an interview on Tuesday. I've always wanted to work at a bookstore. Looks like it may happen!!

Yay, good luck.
I tried for a part-time opening at the library but they wanted experience. Who has librarian experience in our town that doesn't already work there? lol
