I'm in Cincinnati and we've gotten about 5 inches of snow since last night. The yard looks beautiful and I love it when my dog Charlie comes in with a snowy nose. It's a perfect day to snuggle under my great-grandmother's quilt with a cup of coffee and a great book.

Just home from getting my hair cut and now hanging out on GR for a while. Expecting bitter cold tonight (below zero) so I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere else. Looking forward to some football!

Sorry to hear that, Addy.

Where at in WV? I grew up in Culloden, a blink your eyes and miss it town if there ever was one.

I'm sorry to hear that Addy, I know what's it like when you're sick and so are the kids. Moms shouldn't be able to get sick

Carolina (its close to Fairmont if you know of it) it was the same way. There was only one road into the town and if you didn't see the sign at the turnoff you missed it lol. I loved growing up there though, I wanted to move my kids back there but the first time I took my husband to visit family there was a snowstorm that night. He said never in a million yrs would he live there trying to drive up the hills in that weather lol.

I take it she's one of your favorites? Enjoy!

I hope you like the Wasp Factory as much as I did.

Kathleen, I'm a stay at home mom as well:) Always thought a blog would be cool but, no computer. Wouldn't even know how to begin...lol.

I hope your kids soon start to feel better Addy:)

Wow i was going to be amazed if you had only heard of it, i grew up 20 mins from there. I miss the pepperoni rolls the most. I can't make dinner rolls to save my life and my mom doesn't make them anymore. Last time I was there in Feb I find out one place will ship them but its $3 a roll plus shipping.

I started making our cakes a few yrs ago when I had to pay $48 for a cake big enough for my sons party. I never really learned how to make the fancy stuff but I did take a Wiltons decorating class at hobby lobby now my friends have me do theirs.
Plus my kids like it better because they can choose whatever type of cake they want. Once my other son requested banana cake with marshmallow icing which was surprisingly awesome.

How do you make marshmallow frosting? I use a different type of icing but that one sounds delicious!! Its great that you're also a cake maker:-)
