Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Have fun with it, Angie. We got my 10 year old a Nook HD and we have been having fun with that all day. I have also read almost all of the 2nd half of Dead Sea, which is quite the astounding read.

message 1502: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments I've not managed to read all day which is a bit crap but I've had a good time at my sons house. Dinner was great but it was strange not being in charge of the cooking!

I've given jayne my daughter in law,my kindle fire HD and she's having a great time with it.

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments I don't have any options. I must read. I am horizontal for the foreseeable future. May as well make the most of it.

Angie | 623 comments Is it OK to ask if you've gotten other injury's . I've been praying that you didn't but worrying that you did.

message 1505: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments I need to get looked at again, Angie. I am all fucked up, and although hospitalized and surgically treated, I have found that everything was botched. Thanks for the prayers, and feel free to keep them coming.

Addy | 379 comments Wow Adam, that sucks! Be praying for yah:)

Right now I'm cooking dinner, making some tea in my awesome teapot from Teavana and reading summer of night:) I was very pleased to get some old school RL Stine books and Bradbury's From The Dust Returns. Hope everyone got what they wanted!

message 1508: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Nice, Addy. And thanks. I finished Summer Of Night and read a womderful book called Dead Sea by Tim Curran. That man can WRITE! Glad you got what you wanted for Christmas.

message 1509: by Addy (new)

Addy | 379 comments So are you a gamer Kathleen? I don't run into too many women who play...lol. If I had the time, I'd read and then play games. I'm such a nerd:)

message 1510: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments I have a niece that is huge gamer. She is much like me at her age. I don't have time for gaming anymore, sadly.

message 1511: by Addy (new)

Addy | 379 comments Awesome! I love RPG's! Bioshock sounds cool. Do you play mostly on the computer? If I had one, I would but I play mostly on the Wii. I love anything horror like Silent Hill and The Calling. I used to play World of Warcraft too.

message 1512: by Lina (new)

Lina (booksnotlovers) Making my course schedule for 2014. It's a hassle with all these books I have to read for my english prose class ;)

message 1513: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments I can't play those games! I watch when my kids play and laugh when my grandson can't which has him in stitches and making more mistakes, lol. I'm finishing help for the haunted and its turned out to be OK.

message 1514: by Yanice (new)

Yanice | 18 comments @Kathleen: Have you ever played Alice : Madness Returns? I absolutely loved it :)

message 1515: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Watching Holes with my daughter for the first time. She said I would like it. Who am I to argue? Also started Six Dead Spots by Gregor Xane.

message 1516: by Evans (new)

Evans Light (evanslight) My kids watched Holes last night. One of my sons got me a video game for PS3 that's pretty cool, called THE LAST OF US. Kind of like The Road meets The Walking Dead.

message 1517: by Evans (new)

Evans Light (evanslight) Six Dead Spots is next on my TBR list, after Scavenger.

message 1518: by Yanice (new)

Yanice | 18 comments The Walking Dead meets The Road? Sounds like made for me! :)

message 1519: by Evans (new)

Evans Light (evanslight) It's a cool game. Not very far into it, but so far very immersive.

message 1520: by Jason (new)

Jason Parent | 69 comments I've been thinking about picking up that game. Got Arkham Origins to play first, but maybe I'll get that one next. Let me know how it is.

message 1521: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments I've just finished help for the haunted, which turned out to be a pretty cool book, its been a day for catching up on my books. I'm itching to start Rock and Roll reform school for Zombies.

I loved Six dead spots, and I've got no idea of what to watch, any ideas?

message 1522: by ☆Joycedale☆ (new)

☆Joycedale☆ | 307 comments @Adam what did you think of holes? I like that movie

Just got back from my bff's where we had dinner and decided that we was sick of winter. We had bbq pork sandwiches, potato salad, broccoli, cauliflower and carrot salad, chips and chocolate cake.

message 1523: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments You've just made me hungry! That sounds like a really yummy dinner! I've got cold chicken , lots of salad and really nice bread so I think I'm going to make sandwiches:) Its gone 1am here, so its a late night again!

message 1524: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Yeah, Joycedale. It was packed with big-name actors and a fun story, too.

message 1527: by Yanice (new)

Yanice | 18 comments I've got it on the computer but I don't know if it's available on other devices.
I can only speak for myself, but I absolutely LOVED it :)

message 1528: by Rick (new)

Rick Shepard Okay, this is how sad I am. I bought Minecraft, because it didn't require fast reflexes and strong computer gaming skills, and it looks really fun. I found that I couldn't even make the little guy move never mind anything more complex. I bought a Dummies quick reference guide to the game in the hope that it can help even a moron like me get things going here:X

message 1529: by Evans (new)

Evans Light (evanslight) Rick, too funny. My son just bought himself a Minecraft book with Christmas money this evening.

message 1530: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments My son nick is always playing minecraft. When he comes round it goes on. But Rick I can't do any of those games! And when I try, if my kids say just try, they laugh at me. I can't even play Worms, lol.

message 1531: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments My daughter went Minecraft crazy for a bit. Now she has a tablet and has been trying out other things. I know it is only a matter of time before she snags the Minecraft app. I can't believe she hasn't yet.

message 1532: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments She must be loving having a nook Adam, has she got lots of books on it already?

message 1544: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Starting the year in bed with Jen - my lovely bride - watching movies. No kids this morning. Starting with The Heat. That's her pick. I'm going to pick a horror movie, of course.

message 1545: by Addy (new)

Addy | 379 comments Woke up a little grumpy. My youngest had a fever last night. Made some coffee this morning and started reading some. Coffee and books always brighten my mood:)

Rick Shepard Angie wrote: "Its just 12 midnight here in Manchester so I want to wish everyone a very happy new year!! I'm sat in bed with flu but I hope you guys have got better plans, lol"

I hope you're feeling better Angie. There's nothing worse than being sick on New Year's Day, and not having it be because you drank too much:O

message 1547: by Angie (new)

Angie | 623 comments I've been reading as well, trying to finish the books I started last week, hope your youngest is OK now Addy, that their fever broke.

message 1548: by Addy (new)
