Thanks Angie. I'm so busy with the kids and the house, all I want to do is read...lol. I was able to get my parents to watch kids tonight (which is rare) so that's a plus:)

Thank you Kate! I went book hunting and was able to find Tread Softly and Flesh by Laymon. Had to grab them of course!
Happy Birthday, Addy! I hope you got everything you wanted. It sounds like you didn't do too bad in the book department. I have Flesh and Dark Mountain (the other version of Tread Softly) in paperback and cherish them along with my other Laymons. Enjoy your birthday, you still have plenty of it left, at least by my watch!
I am writing. An idea for a short story popped into my head the other day, complete with the title "Moon Crazy". I didn't know what it meant at the time, but it's about halfway finished and getting darker all the time. Probably find a place to stop in a few minutes as I was up until 4am writing last night, and worked 8-5:30 at my day job today. My daughter really wore me out this evening, and I am just pooped.

Get her one of those mountain goats with the little satellite dish on the forehead. You know the ones I'm talking about?
Evans wrote: "Goats with satellite dishes... I'm listening..."Oh, I thought that was a thing. But I can find no evidence that it really is. Sorry to get your hopes up.
I guess she doesn't want anything. That's pretty messed up, Addy. You better have a darned good excuse for ignoring us when we're offering gifts. It's really exhausting work, you know?@Gregor, great idea, but I'm fresh out of dishes. Got any spares lying around?

No, sorry. The only dish I have is on the goat. The goat gets great reception, by the way (unless there's a big storm).
Ahh..too funny guys! I was waiting for the offers. Lol. Thanks for the birthday wishes! You guys are awesome!
Oh well, I guess this suitcase full of cash will have to go back into the closet... along with the goat.
I have friendship and good intentions to offer. I suppose I could throw a free Adam Light book your way, if you are so inclined. Just name your poison...
I will check in again tomorrow. I haven't been this tired since I had to mow the lawn manually when my mower quit on me. I was grass-stained all over for at least a week after that one. Wish I would have had a goat that day.
Lol. Sorry, I fell asleep. Your friendship is a great gift. I was only kidding and don't want to trouble you.
1638Catching up on GR and trying to work out with the crazy week I have left when I will ever pick up a book
So Addy, if your mum watched the kids did you go out somewhere nice? I drag my grandson to the cinema when my son needs a break.
These gloomy rainy days we've been having makes me want to hide inside with a book (or ten). Maybe that's why I've gone a little UBS crazy the last couple of days.My haul from UBS and Goodwill:

I already had the larger edition of Heart-Shaped Box, but being the fan of pocket paperbacks that I am, I couldn't resist nabbing it for a couple bucks. Never seen in in that format before, now that I think of it.
we got 4 or 5 inches of snow and its still coming down. knew I shouldve brought that sled the other day lol, now I gotta keep the kids entetained tomorrow
Yes Angie. Me and my hubby went to the Rusty Bucket for dinner then I drug him to Goodwills and thrift stores to scavenge for books. My poor husband:)
Did you find anything good, Addy? Goodwill is always a needle in a haystack (unless you're shopping for Michael Crichton), but that's half the fun.
And so am I, I've got 11 of them now, but all from the second hand book sellers on Amazon. There's no books like that in our charity shops. I used to drag my kids round looking for books, I'd do something they liked, like swimming then they had to do the looking for books, lol. One of them turned out to be a big reader but not the other one. Right now I've got the anime Hellsing Ultimate on, Alucard is the most awesome vampire ever!!

I really like this no-frills, easy-to-use site.

Direct to the source. This will likely be more complete than what I provided.
I was pointing out that fantasticfiction.co.uk site as a general resource I use fairly often.

If Evans has Laymon books that you're missing for your collection, Adam, you should go to his house and steal them.

It'll be hard to get away with since you suggested it here in the thread, Gregor. Next time PM me with any suggestions which may include stealing from my brother. ;)

Nice save. Now, when you do steal the books, he'll never suspect it was you. When your collection is complete, let me know. A few weeks later, you might find a goat with a satellite dish on his forehead in your library with a laundry basket tied to his back. Just ignore it. He's harmless.
I'll keep that in mind, Gregor. Well, I have to go to the airport and attempt to sneak onto a flight that goes somewhere close to where Evans lives. NOT to steal his books. I just want to go visit, and stuff like that.

That's great, Adam and Gregor thanks for the links. So.here are mineThe cellar, The Beast house and The Midnight tour
Quake
Body rides
After midnight
The glory bus
Resurrection dreams
The woods are Dark
The stake
Endless Night
No one near me has any I can steal from, and I have to go feed my cat. She's walking in circles around me, poking me and her claws have just come out!!!
Well, to help make your thievery as efficient as possible, let me lay it out for you.I've got:
1. Into the Fire
2. In the Dark
3. Come Out Tonight
4. Endless Night
5. Body Rides ("borrowed" from Adam, actually)
6. The Beast House
7. Darkness, Tell Us
8. The Midnight Tour
9. No Sanctuary
10. Night in Lonesome October
If you'd like to steal them, they're on the bookshelf under my bedroom window, beside my bed. Just ignore the lump under the covers that looks like me with a shotgun. It's not, honest! : )
All right, Adam. It looks like he only has four that you don't already have. I doubt he'll miss four books. Just wear a bulky jacket for your visit.
