Awesome. That's the honey pot right there. I'm glad to see you got the Stalkers book. It must be going around. I found a thrift shop in my area that is going to be my new playground I think. I scored some goods today.
I wish I could take a picture and post on here, but since I can't I'll do it like this:
Hardcover:

paperback:

Some interesting stuff there!

Those are some great books! The Sentinel is one of my favorite books. I really liked the movie too!

I saw that L. Ron Hubbard book FEAR somewhere recently, but I've never seen anything of his that struck my interest.

I was familiar with the movie, but didn't know it was a book!
I got home early from work this week. I only had to work until 12:30 p.m. so I am taking advantage of a longer weekend and right now I'm watching the Louisville game and cooking. Actually, I might switch to the Air Force and Navy game. Louisville is my team, but dang their schedule is weak this year. Got a bit of reading done at work and plan to read in-between the game, cooking and cleaning. GREAT NEWS - My grandson who ran away from home four months ago and is involved in a lot of really risky behavior decided to turn himself in last night. I went with him and his mom to police headquarters last night. About broke my heart when they put the handcuffs on him, but at least we know he is safe and has a better chance of getting the help he so desperately needs.

Just saw the movie GRAVITY, pretty intense experience.

It is upsetting to see them go through so much though isn't it.
At the moment I'm deciding what to watch and having a cup of tea.

Also, about Fear by Hubbard, I was thoroughly impressed by the ending. I guess what I didn't like was the madness he went through. What do they call that kind of writing? You know, very descriptive writing of madness that sometimes doesn't make sense? Well after all that the ending was pretty awesome so I guess Im eating my words from yesterday...lol.

cindy I hope everything works out for your grandson

I just wanted to check in and let you guys know what is going on. I haven't been on here much lately. I am REALLY depressed and don't know why. It really sucks to have no insurance and all of the low-income clinics tell you there is at least a three month wait to get in. Hopefully, this is just a temporary thing and will go away in a few days. Sorry folks, not trying to be distant or anything. It's just a struggle to even get out of bed. Will worry about catching up on my reading whenever I get this under control. I will still pop in and out of the group. Found an online support group and I'm gonna see if that helps any.

Catching up on paperwork then hoping to fit an hours reading in later before the school refugee's descend

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Just got my last kid on the bus so I'm gonna sit here with coffee and read before I tackle this housework

My house of leaves is finally here, it's a big book, I'm of now to see if I can make a start to it.

Can't wait to see what you think Angie. HoL was one of my favorite books. Mark Danielewski is a really interesting person, and I enjoyed watching a couple of the interviews and videos of him and his sister Poe on YouTube.

Wow!! Jordan that is awesome, I'd be geeking out too! Let's see, you might have been chosen because you're reviews are so inciteful and well written, or it might have been because you have an awesome blog site, or it might have been because you appear to be incredibly knowledgeable about what you're talking about! Whichever reason, Congrats!

Are you saying you weren't approached? Or you're just flattered that you were?

@Gregor: I was approached, which flattered me enough as it was, but I had no idea who else was on the list. When I saw the finished post I was blown away....I've read a couple of those guys. And another is on my Kindle right now waiting for me to finish my current book so I can start his....
@Evans: Thanks!
