I looked for Insidious on Netflix too. Wasn't there...lol. I thought part 2 was pretty good, even with all the cliché's. I enjoyed it. Really liked the dice. I jumped in a few of the scenes, so that's a good sign. Made me think of Poltergeist, but more modern version.

Anyone plan on watching Carrie? I'm pretty excited for it! I feel like I should read the book though and watch the original.
I am stoked because Julianne Moore is in the remake of Carrie. She rocks! I have seen the original several times and read the book twice. I am good on that. It is a simple plot.
I'm guessing Julianne Moore is going to play either Carrie's mother or the teacher at school? I'm was a big fan of Piper Laurie, but we are talking about Julianne Moore!
I didn't know they was remaking carrie. When's it due out?Getting ready to head to my 4 yr olds soccer game then to the library, I've had some books come in :)
I thought the preview for the Carrie remake looked well made, but really don't see the point of it. So many other tales to be told, and the original was quite good already.
Watching Rock of Ages on Netflix and writing an essay for school. Most awesome saturday ever (enormous irony)
I had to break down and buy me an electronic cigarette today, but the liquid I have is 0 mg of nicotine.
Cindy wrote: "I had to break down and buy me an electronic cigarette today, but the liquid I have is 0 mg of nicotine."I've been seeing lots of ads for electronic cigarettes. If it helps you quit smoking, it's a great investment!
I'm watching the Green Bay game on mute in an attempt to make a lot of progress in A Conspiracy of Paper. Plugging away!
Making potato salad. My bestie decided our families need to get together for one last bbq b4 its cold.
Going to check on my son. He is starting to get depressed over the car wreck and not being able to work.
Enjoyed watching the Panthers dominate a game for once. Went to an art festival in the park, heading out to a birthday dinner for a friend.
Lol. Just ran to my parents house so I could get a connection on my kindle so a book would download. Things I do in the name of books:)

Getting tired and hurting really bad again. Guess I'm gonna give up on reading here shortly and make an attempt at bed.

I am reading for about 30 minutes and then have some things to do. Will be home earlier tonight and plan to finish A Conspiracy of Paper. Wasn't a good day pain wise, but certainly wasn't as bad as last night and for that I am grateful.
Just got home from a fresh haircut. Ran into a Salvation Army store, a goodwill store, and a homegrown bookstore I came across as I travelled today, but the only thing I found was No Sanctuary
for $1. The UBS had
The Long Lost by Ramsey Campbell, but the reviews weren't so hot so I took a pass on that one.

It was released posthumously and it shows.

Oh well, it was only a dollar, and Laymon is someone I wouldn't mind be a completist with in my collection.
I am glad to have it for my ever growing Laymon collection. I have about a dozen paperbacks and hope to find them all. I got another copy of Body Rides at a thrift store for .50 the other day. Along with Savage and After Midnight. They had a couple others I already have, too. I seem to be finding his books everywhere lately.
You should hand over Body Rides Adam...lol. I don't have it.Ok. I think it was Evans that mentioned the tales from the crypt sale. It was on sale on amazon too, so I got it! Thanks for the heads up! I couldn't refuse!
Let me know how you like it, Addy. Adam let me borrow his copy of BODY RIDES. I was gonna give it back!

I wanted you to keep it, bro.

Have you read BODY RIDES, Addy?
Got some great dollar paperbacks in Greenville today, picked up Off Season
,
Intensity,
Midnight Sun,
Moon, and Strange Highways
. Been looking for a good deal on the first and last one for a while.
As always, a great haul Evans. You have got to be one of the luckiest people in the world when it comes to picking up good deals on books. I am reading for a while and going to bed. Hoping the pace picks up soon. Reading Sinner.
Haven't read any Decker before, Cindy. Pretty good?As far as my used book finds go, for every good one I get, I've probably waded through a thousand others. I travel a good bit down back country roads and small towns lately, and have developed a highly refined second sense for finding thrift stores and used bookstores. I can get in, scan, and back out in about 5 minutes. Half the fun is the thrill of the hunt! As far as hobbies go, it's pretty affordable and I love to read what I get, so there's really no downside.
Enjoy your evening. :-)
Dekker is really good. And unique! Thanks, and you have a great evening also. My day was pretty good.
Glad to hear it. Talking about Laymon has got me in the mood for something fun. Gonna start THE WOODS ARE DARK (uncut). Found it at the library, must be fate.

How is your mom doing Evans? Hope things are a little better.

Everyone is doing much better, thanks. Fingers crossed for continued health and good fortune, because apparently I'm next in line!

Huh? You got me on that one.
Huh? You got me on that one.
Oh, next in line? Well, mom sick, Adam had his scare, then Adam's wife broke her foot... So I figured it's Final Destination Light Style, and I'm next! :-)
He's depressed. Had to get an attorney and fighting like hell with people at work. They don't want to pay his short-term disability and they don't want him on FMLA. Only gave him two days to return the papers for FMLA and I'm fairly certain that is not legal. I told him to let his attorney take care of it.
Thanks and I'm so glad your mom is better.

I have to be somewhere at 5:15 p.m. but I'm gonna attempt to read a little for the next 30 minutes or so. Hope everyone is having a great day.
In the mood for a laymon book myself. I'm thinking about Resurrection Dreams since I picked it up today. Also, I got my tales from the crypt animated version so I thought my son and I could watch but he fell asleep early...oh well. I guess I'm good company...lol.
I would like to read a good Laymon. I was thinking Funland or Endless Night. Or Any of them. Resurection Dreams sounds good, too.
