Got home late tonight and haven't had much sleep lately. Want to read for at least an hour tonight but I'm cutting it off by at least 12. I really need a minimum of five hours sleep tonight. Wish the dream genie would show up and tell me I could make a decent living off reading books. Then I could actually get some sleep and tell my employer to take a hike. Oh well, for now I'll just settle to be grateful to have a job. Will check back in about every half hour or so. Reading in the meantime.

Damn. I remember the day I got mine, too. I had read it already though. ;). Lots of times! I love it.

I'm cooking dinner, taking a shower, catching up on some posts, then I need to leave the house by 6:00 p.m. and will be gone until around 10:00 p.m. tonight. In-between all the other stuff, I am reading a little.

Evans Light (evanslight) Adam wrote: "Garton is a good writer. I liked Ravenous."

I was just walking by my bookshelves and discovered that I have a Ray Garton paperbook there, The Loveliest Dead The Loveliest Dead by Ray Garton .

Anybody read that one? I must have picked it up during one of my paperback frenzies. Must have decent reviews or else I wouldn't have bought it.

I'm really not familiar at all with Garton.

message 940: by [deleted user] (new)

I am so excited!! Finally getting caught up on all these books I've been reading forever. I have refrained from starting anything new for several weeks now and extremely happy I made that decision. I might even decide to pick up the one book I have on my abandoned shelf just because.

message 941: by Addy (new)

Addy | 379 comments I've heard of the Lovliest Dead but that's about it. Ravenous is suppose to be good. That's the next one I'd like to read next, but I want the paperback. Its cheaper than the eBook.

message 942: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Garton seems to be surfacing a lot on here as of late. I picked up Ravenous at the library only because it was a quarter. I don't really like werewolf books. I thought it was pretty damn good, though. So I bought the sequel. Apparently Live Girls is awesome as well.

Thank God that it wasn't worse! It was a t-bone at 55 m.p.h. and all that happened to him is a broken fibia and his hand went completely through the windshield. It is pretty mangled, but no break. How in the hell is that even possible? He is on muscle relaxers and pain killers. Off work until he sees an orthopedic surgeon.
