Evans Light (evanslight) Hope everyone is enjoying their evening! With mom out of town this weekend for a breather, I'm having a "scary" movie night with my boys, who are 9,11 and 13. We're watching the old 1990 movie ARACHNOPHOBIA, and I found the perfect movie treat for them to snack on while we watch it: little gummi octopus - they look like spiders. I've never seen candy disappear so slowly before!

That is sick Evans! LOL

Must take meds and go to bed now. I'm even gonna give church a shot tomorrow. Going with a friend. We'll see how that turns out, but I'm keeping an open mind.

I'm glad to hear you won't be getting in trouble, I'm guessing you're pretty interested in seeing the video so you can see what's really going on. Seems very bizarre and a little eerie.

Made some progress in Swan Song, fixed lunch, and went to church this morning. Getting ready to eat and go to my son's house for a while. Gonna be a busy day.

message 707: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Just watched The Stand for the first time since it originally aired on television. After reading Swan Song I just had to watch this. I have to say that The Stand, though cheesy was pretty damn good. Now I need to reread the book.

message 708: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 40 comments The miniseries is total cheese, but I love it too!

message 709: by Lina (new)

Lina (booksnotlovers) I'm at a lecture, bored to death.

message 710: by [deleted user] (new)

I just got home from work and Jeff's family is visiting from Wisconsin. Guess that's gonna limit my reading time, but they will only be here for a couple of days. Hey, at least I get along with them OK.

message 711: by ☆Joycedale☆ (new)

☆Joycedale☆ | 307 comments started a loaf of bread and just finished loading the dishwasher

message 712: by [deleted user] (new)

Jeff and his family were gone when I got home, so I've done a bit of reading and started cleaning my bathroom. Have to leave in about an hour to pick up a friend.

message 713: by Adam (new)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Just got home from work to find that the print proofs for my book Toes Up had arrived. It is now time to settle in and read through in search of any pesky typos that may still be hiding in it. I sure hope I don't find any.

message 714: by [deleted user] (new)

Just got home from all my running and it's bedtime real soon. Have to get up in a little over six hours. Gonna take meds, wait for them to kick in, read in the meantime, and then bed. Reading Swan Song for around 30 minutes or so.

message 715: by Lina (new)

Lina (booksnotlovers) I'm sick! Lost my voice and can barely breathe. Oh, well. I'm gonna catch up on some reading

message 716: by Ice (new)

Ice Bear (neilar) So much for fresh scandanavian air or is it our acid rain passing over from the UK again.

Whatever you like--if it captivates you, I'm jealous. I've been having a lot of trouble getting into much of anything here lately. I could really use a 5-star book about right now.

message 728: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Kobus (rainbowsunset) Finishing Bizenghast Volume 2 and then continuing Cinderella Dressed in Ashes. Both are very fun reads.

Just got home and would love to read another 50 pages or so in Swan Song before going to bed. Need to be in bed by at least 11:30 tonight.

Have some running to do tonight and I'm going to the Patton Museum with Jeff's family tomorrow. Would like to read for an hour or two when I get home tonight, but I'm dragging butt. Don't know how this will work out. Will just have to see how I feel when I get home. Take care guys and I'll talk to you later.

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 603 comments Thanks everyone for the prayers and good vibes. Our family can't get enough of them at this time. I haven't slept in three days, but I am home for the night. Going to pound down a few cold beers and get a few winks before work tomorrow. Then back to the hospital. I am going to check up on some posts for a while before sleep takes me.

message 745: by Rick (new)

Rick Shepard I'm sorry to hear about your mother Adam and Evans. Add my prayers to everyone else's here.

message 746: by [deleted user] (new)

Adam and Evans - If it's not too personal, what is your mother's first name? I do believe in prayer and would like to pray for her by her first name. Keeping your whole family in my thoughts and prayers.

Getting ready to go to the museum with Jeff's family in about an hour. Probably won't have a lot of time online until later tonight.

message 747: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm back from the museum and got some reading in. Gonna update my status on Swan Song and read some more. Plan to stay home the rest of the night and tomorrow.
